putting herself to sleep HELP NEEDED
up until now ive always rocked DD to sleep and im trying to break the habit i would put her down drowsy and she used to stay now that shes pulling herself up she'll stand and stare in the monitor or play around. what do you guys do? should i jsut leave her? i leave her for a few min hoping shell lay down but she cries cause shes afraid to sit down on her own or something im not sure im just afraid she will jump or something and fall over the crib rail..we just lowered her crib but its just a fear. i need help! i dont want to keep having to rock her all the time any advice is appreciate TIA

It will only take her a few days to figure out how to get down from standing position in the crib. I remember writing this exact same post - and holding my breathe as I watched him standing in the monitor - afraid that he would wack his head or something.
If you are putting her in the crib already awake you shouldn't have much of a problem once she figures out how to get back down. Until she learns though I would probably go in - if she's crying - and show her how to get down!

thank you! im going to work on getting her to learn to sit during the day hopefully. She sleeps till we get out of the room as soon as we pick her up shes back sleeping so i dont want her to get in the habit if i stand mommy will come i need to break it ASAP. thank you for your advice
