Q for BTDT moms re: wipes - those that didn't use wipes in the beginning...
At my child care class they suggested using paper towels - what kind of towels/towelettes did you use if you went this route? Just trying to decide what to buy? Regular paper towels? What did your dr. say to do? TIA

We used Viva but quickly switched to Sensitive wipes.

We used the one from the hospital then switched to regular. Some moms recommended Viva paper towels (smooth!)
ETA: I used the wipes when he was 4 weeks old

We used regular paper towels (bounty) and then switched to pampers sensitive.

One Ped told us no wipes or cream/lotions for 1 month.
I then used sensitive wipes (no alcohol, fragnance free).

I used the ones from the hospital and then Viva paper towels. I think I did that till he was about 2 weeks - it was annoying and wish I did the wipes right when I got home.

Our hospital gave us Pampers Sensitive wipes. We've used them ever since.

Viva for the first month or so and then to papers sensitive but then had to switch to pampers unscented when pampers started to put "a touch of milk essentials" in the sensitive wipes because DS is allerigc to milk protein and who know what the heck "milk essentials" is!

I used cotton ballls for 6mths!! and I even warmed up the water during the night changings...I know completely nuts...then we switched to pampers sensitive and use those all the time now.

I used Viva or cotton balls for the first few months. I went overboard. I think after the first month its fine to switch if your child doesn't have sensitive skin.

I just used, only when he pooped, newborn sensitive wipes.
ETA: I never use wipes when he just pees.
