Re: Q for those that use daycare
We found one (in Suffolk though ) that can do rotating days. Its hard b/c they can only have a certain number of kids per adults so they had to put them in a full day full week program (they are 2 and will be 3 in oct). Centers had more flexibility with this b/c in home needed to be able to guarantee a spot for another kid if one came along and if we were rotating they couldn't do that.
We pay for 10 mo and summer and school breaks are separate, They have camps though were we can pay per day. If we take off a week, we still pay.

Q for those that use daycare
I did an in home daycare. Paid by the hour, and had to pay in full at the beginning of the week. Always had to pay for days we did not attend. Also had to pay for the days that she closed for holidays, without regard for if it was a real holiday (the day after Thanksgiving is not a holiday). During the summer she closes for 1 day per week, that I did not have to pay for but it was a huge negative.
