Question about paying babysitter
Do you pay your sbilings if they watch your DC?
tomorrow night my brother and his gf are watching DD. She will already be in bed so they are really just sitting here while we go out for a little bit. She won't wake up.
I never paid my sister who is 31 to watch DD, I have never been paid to watch her kids. However, last time my brother watched Katie (also while she was sleeping) I did pay him. I felt bc he is 19 and he can go out with his friends, but instead was babysitting, I shoudl pay him. But now I feel like maybe I shouldnt have started that.
Thoughts?
My brother loves food so I was just giong to get him some treats.

my sister's 32 and would never take money to watch her nephew. but a 19 y/o...hmmm. was he hestitant to take the money in the first place? i would definitely have food ready for him to eat, but i dont think i'd pay.

the first time we paid him, he was hesitant and didnt want to take it but my DH made him.

i don't pay any of my family members when they watch DC. they do it because they want to spend time with them, even though my cousins are giving up a night of going out.
