Question about transitioning naps
My DD is almost 9 weeks old. Now that she is awake more, she usually does 1 long 3-4 hour nap first thing in the morning after she wakes up. After that, I put her down for a nap every 1 1/2 to 2 hours so she doesn't get over tired. It's a little bit of a struggle to get her to fall asleep, but she always eventually goes. Other than the long stretch in the morning the rest of her naps throughout the day are like 30 minutes.
My question is at what age, or how do I know when she is ready for like just one longer morning and afternoon nap(2 naps per day)? I feel like I am kind of forcing her into her current nap times. Will she just eventually just not fall asleep at the times I am trying to get her down? Right now she is at 1 long in the morning and like 4 other short ones throughout the day. Just wasn't sure when this usually changed.

Re: Question about transitioning naps
I am no help because DS is 12 weeks old and still takes cat naps during the day. I deal with it though because he is a good sleeper at night. I figure when it happens, it happens.
