Question about when to start trying again?
It kind of annoys me that some of us have doctors that say we can try after one cycle and other doctors say to wait at least two cycles. Does anyone why there are conflicting opinions on this. I really want to try after one cycle, not two...but i probably won't because my doctor said to wait 2 cycles.

Re: Question about when to start trying again?
mine said 2 cycles --- reasons were to make sure that my body was the ready to become pregnant again....and to make it a healhty place for implantation.
SHe also said our bodies go through so much with a miscarriage and/or D&C and you need to start fresh again.
It's hard but I am looking forward to getting my period so I can start the two cycles before trying....in the long term 2 months of waiting is nothing compared to having a healthy baby.

Re: Question about when to start trying again?
Mine said to wait three months. We will most likely not start trying till July because I think I want DS #2 to be a little bit older when I get pregnant again.

Re: Question about when to start trying again?
My situation is a bit different, but my doctor said to only wait one normal cycle. But, she followed up with that could be one, two or three months. We decided to wait three months, but that was our preference.
She said that there was really no medical evidence to prove how long you need to wait, they just tell you one normal cycle to make sure everything is back to "working" order.

My dr said to wait until I get a period, then I can start trying again.

Re: Question about when to start trying again?
My dr. said 1 cycle. Actually I saw 2 OB's and they both said 1 cycle. They said your body knows exactly what to do, etc and it goes back to normal. I also had a follow up sono and my dr. said my lining looked good so that was piece of mind.
If it doesnt happen right away I will be ok with it...but I really want to be pregnant again by this summer, argh.
OK and one more note, I think it depends on how far along you were. Those who lost early on may be able to start trying sooner. Those who lost later, like 10-13 weeks - the doctor may prefer you to wait longer, maybe so your uterus can shrink?

Re: Question about when to start trying again?
i'm just so anxious to start trying again. I'm going to ask my doctor again at my follow up app't in 2 weeks. I'd really prefer to just wait the one cycle, not two.
