Re: question for IVF ladies..
After the retrieval I had soreness for about a week and a half afterwards- kinda like I did a million sit ups.
The transfer was easy peasy.

Re: question for IVF ladies..
No..
For retrievals you are asleep so you don't feel a thing. It can be uncomfortable the rest of that day and maybe the next day depending on how many eggs they retrieve.
The transfer is a piece of cake. Similar to having an IUI (takes just a little longer), and you do need to have a full bladder for it (that IMO is the worst part of it!)

The retreival wasn't painful - you are out for that so you basically feel the IV going in, then you wake up in recovery. I also had a little soreness after, but nothing major at all - and a ton of bloating.
After the transfer I felt fine. I rested a bit and then felt like my usual self!

Re: question for IVF ladies..
I have only had 1 retrieval so far..no transfers...I had some crampiness a few hours after the retrieval, nothing major though. And I was tired, but that was from the sedation.

Re: question for IVF ladies..
Honestly I was more terrified of the IV than anything else, which, in the end, went soooo smoothly.
For the retrieval, I was crampy and uncomfortable afterwards for a little while, but by the next day I was back to myself.
After the transfer, I felt nothing

Re: question for IVF ladies..
I had some pain and bloating after retrieval but it only lasted a few days. This is pretty normal after your ovaries have been hyperstimulated. Transfer was painless.
