I think there was a post about this yesterday. Let me see if I can find it for you.

Re: Question for moms having winter babies
There was a thread like this yesterday. No need for winter jacket/snow suit, etc. I had my DD Dec 1, bought her a snow suit and 2 beautiful winter coats. Never used any of them. You can use the kiddopotamus, bundle me, blankets, etc. DD2 is due Jan 16 and I am not planning on using anything like a coat for her this year.

This is exactly what I'm doing too, for the same reason.

Re: Question for moms having winter babies
You absolutely do not need a winter jacket. Some people use the Bundle Me. I used the Kiddopotamus Posh Pouch, which only goes over the car seat. DS was born in December and we had a pretty cold, snowy winter in CT last year. The Posh Pouch was perfect and kept him nice and warm. On really cold days, I'd sometimes use a blanket right under the Posh Pouch, but that usually made him sweat too much.
Anything other than a very thin jacket isn't recommended for a car seat b/c it interferes with the straps.

Re: Question for moms having winter babies
I wasn't planning on it....i was just going to use the posh pouch thingy. BUT...i received this really nice Ralph Rauren bunting for my shower....it looks and feels so cozy....i will probably use that if its ever not so cold out and i want to go for a walk or something.
