Question for moms of potty trained boys

When they started swimming (or maybe anything else) without a diaper, did they 'complain' about their penis? I think he doesn't like the feeling of the netting in the bathing suit. I just don't know if I should be doing something with it.

DS doesn't swim, but when I had him in his bathing suit this weekend on the boat and at the sprinkler park, he was fine.

Did not mention anything about the netting.

I think I remember him not liking it last year but once he was in the water, he forgot all about it. But I did laugh because DH hates the netting and actually cuts it out of his own bathing suits!
