Re: Question on bachelorette parties
Mine was bridal party and close friends I go out with. If the bride socializes with her sils and would feel comfortable drinking and being silly in fron of them, then yea I think the should be invited. But you want to make sure she won't feel inhibited if they're there.

Re: Question on bachelorette parties
Mine was bridal party only - my SIL was part of the bridal party so she was invited (but didn't come, she had someplace better to be apparently )
ETA: But if she wasn't party of the BP yes, I still would have invited her.

Re: Question on bachelorette parties
it should be your bridal party and good friends and as long as you are friendly with your SIL i would definitely invite her. i had my SIL at mine, although she left early for whatever reason. (i still haven't really gotten over it, if you can't tell).
i also invited DH's female cousins, as well as my own and my mom and MIL for half of the day anyway

Re: Question on bachelorette parties
Mine was the bridal party and close friends. I didn't invite either SIL because there was a large age difference and knew they weren't interested in coming.

Re: Question on bachelorette parties
I think it depends on each situation. My SIL was at mine. In my situation it was good bc I think we became closer, but I can see how the opposite can happen too.

Re: Question on bachelorette parties
I think so...in my case my FSIL was also a BM, but BIL's long term gf, who was not a BM, and is for all intents and purposes my SIL as well, was invited, because I would have felt really awkward if we excluded her.

Re: Question on bachelorette parties
I think it depends on the situation. My "SIL" (been engaged to BIL forever) wasn't invited. I asked her to be a BM, she declined; she was invited to the shower, she declined. Every other time DH and I have tried to invite her/make plans with her, she declines. Frankly, I got tired of extending invitations.

Re: Question on bachelorette parties
Typically, it's bridal party and close girlfriends and relatives not in the BP. I've seen Moms, MILs, SILs, and even grandmas come to bachelorette parties. But the guest list can include whoever the bride wants.

Re: Question on bachelorette parties
I am of 'the more the merrier' and I wanted more of a pre-game party at my mom's hosue and then to head out to the city. So my MOH invited a lot of close friends and family (cousins). My SIL's were invited and my MIL invited herself. Which was a little awkward. One of the games we played was a "Who Knows the Bride the best". So a lot of the girls were hesitant on asking certain things because of my MIL. But I said screw it and told them to go for it. Wether she liked it or not that was her problem. So if you are comfortable with everyone who could be invited then go for it. GL!
