Questions for daycare mommies

1- During the holidays, do you give your DC's teacher a gift? If so, what? And to who? I ask who b/c Troy has 2 teachers in the AM, but one or two different ones in the PM. Also, everyone at his daycare (staff) knows him. They call him the mayor. I know this doesn't obligate me to get gifts for everyone, but there are a few other teachers who I am dealt with (regarding Troy) and I feel a certain "bond" with (as does Troy). How would I get them a little something?

2- For your DC's birthday, if you had a party fr DC and you invited some kids from DC's daycare class- how did you do it? Also, how do you notify the parents? I do not get to see other parents that often, and when I do- we're all either in a rush to work or home.

TIA!!

I would suggest getting them all either breakfast or lunch. You can talk to the director about when a good day is. This is a great solution if you have multiple teachers.

In my day care parents put invites in the cubbiesChat Icon

We get gift cards for the director and the co director and her teacher and teacher's assistant. We don't get for everyone else-it gets to be too much.

1- cash with a card for each of DD's teachers, and no others.
2- none of the kids in DD's daycare class invite each other to bday parties yet. My daycare does have a policy about invitations though- I think they will mail them for you or something like that if you're only inviting a few from the class. I would ask the director what he/she recommends.

Just for his 2 classroom teachers....

Last year I bought ornaments for each of them - one was pregnant so I got her pregnant ornament with her name written on it, and "Love, Cailen"

I got the head teacher a "Best teacher" ornament, with "Love Cailen" on it as well.....

Cash and a card for their two teachers.
In your case, I think the breakfast idea is a great one.

When the time comes we will invite the whole class, less than 10 kids. We can communicate through the cubbies.
