Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
With both my boys I used the saliva ovulation predictor. The one I have is called perfect time. I used mymonthlycycles to track my window and would BD everyday in that window (exhausting but worth it)
I would also elevate my hips after BD'ing and lay there for 1/2 hour. Normally I would get up to pee

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
I never posted on here, and want to help anyone I can, so here it goes...
1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)
I read TCOYF and used the CBEFM for 2 cycles (I tried one cycle before it arrived, too). I got my BFP after the 2nd cycle using the CBEFM.
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)
We BD on -2, -1, 0, 1 (0 = ovulation).
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)
I got my BFP 11 DPO on a digital. I managed to hold out and not test until then. This was hard, but I didn't want to get discouraged.
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)
I took prenatals for about 6 months. I also took Robitussen before and after I ovulated.
Some early symptoms: my nipples were very sore (sorry TMI), tired earlier at night, and I basically felt like I was going to get AF. I had CM daily after I ovulated, especially around 8-9DPO. I had some sharp, stabbing pains on my left side, just like when I ovulated.
Good luck to all of you....

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
I did this for my last pregnancy, so I hope it's okay that I'm doing it again (hopefully for the last time!)...
1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.) I used OPKs, but I now know that I started testing too late & missed my surge so I never got a
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.) I'm thinking I Oed CD 18, so that would mean we BDed on -4, -1(twice) & O.
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!) 10DPO. I got the faintest of faint lines on a cheapie strip & I took an Answer with the same urine & got a bright BFP.
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.) We did everything wrong this month! We had sex twice in one day, DH went in the jacuzzi everyday of our trip (which was when I was Oing), I didn't keep my legs elevated... just shows that you should never count yourself out!
Early symptoms: On 9DPO my boobs started to feel a bit sore & VERY heavy. I also had some AF like cramping around the same time.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
I am a little hesitant to post about my experience since I haven't had my beta yet, but I have tested positive about 6 times already, so here it goes!
1. What method did you use to TTC? My situation is a little different....I went through IVF.
2. What was your BD schedule? Again, IVF
3. At how many dpo did you test? I tested 8dp3dt (8 days past three day transfer) and got a positive on a digital. Technically, that would be 11DPO.
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)
I took prenatals for about 7 months, and am on metformin for my insulin resistance (PCOS). Obviously, the IVF helped a bit too!
Some early symptoms: I was VERY crampy (AF like cramps) about 8dpo which has subsided a bit, but I am still crampy here and there. I also had a nose bleed. Other than that, I don't have many symptoms at all! My nipples are sore, but that is from the progesterone I am taking 4x/day!
Sorry I am not much of a help since my situation is different! Good luck to all of you!

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
I never posted this!
1. What method did you use to TTC? Temping, OPK's
2. What was your BD schedule? This month we BD CD10, 12, 14, and 15 and I actually O'd on CD17. I thought I was out!!
3. At how many dpo did you test? 13DPO with digital and it said PREGNANT
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)
I took prenatals for 6 months before BFP. Took mucinex, primrose oil, used preseed.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
Thanks for the bump!
1. Methods TTC: OPK, acupuncture, Chinese herbs
2. BD schedule: CD13, CD15, CD17 (we were on vacation with my parents so we were just trying for every other night & hoping for the best)
3. How many DPO did I test: 14DPO
4. Anything else that may have contributed: decreased my caffeine & dairy exercise relaxation through acupuncture being off from work
ETA: I also don't get up after we BD. I sleep a full night without letting go of any potential swimmers.

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)
Thi cycle.........NOTHING
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.) I ovul;ate between CD 13-15 everymonth, so we just BD'd like rabbits for 3 days, and I tilted my rear end (to help the gravity).....
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!) I didn't test until 6 days late, I got too depressed with all the BFN.....
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)
Prayer, prenatals, and a very understanding DH
Good luck ladies, sorry that I wasn't scientific this month, but hey, I let go of the stress and got my BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
I've been taking prenatals for about 4 months and been on metformin for 2 months to help regulate my cycles - I got my BFP the 2nd cycle 'trying' - I used OPK's to determine my ovulation time - I didn't really pay much attention to anything else ........
We BDd Thurs, I got the smiley on Friday, then we BDd Sunday and Monday - I thought we missed it, but I guess not

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.) I was temping (but was having a hard time staying consistent with times). This was my first month with using OPKs.
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.) Every other day after CD10, then every day for three days once I got my positive OPK.
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!) 8DPO BFN with the test that came with the Pre I ordered, then BFP on 9DPO with a FR test.
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.) I used Pre for the first time and we really liked it. I don't seem to get a lot of CM.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
A couple questions that might help those of us who are still TTC!
1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.) I started tracking my cycles, which were very irregular, in April and used FF to help make sense of them.
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.) My average cycle is 26 days so we BD'd on CD's 10, 11, 12, 13 and 15.
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!) We got BFN's at CD 22, 23, 24, and 25. First BFN was CD 26. Hard to know when I O'd because we did not use an OPK.
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.) I started prenatals a few months before TTC. The other thing we did was I would lay with my legs up and a pillow under my hips for 15 mins after we finished. Of course we can't know for sure but it worked when we were TTC our son and this baby. My SIL did the same thing when she was TTC her girls and it worked for her as well.
Hope that helps someone.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
Thank you Girlfriend for bumping for me!! I am VERY excited to finally be able to answer on this thread
1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)
OPKs
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)
The month I got BFP we only BDed the day of +opk. All the other months we did every other day and then day of, day after, and day after that of +opk and i think that was too much!
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)
11 DPO. This was my first day testing. I think if i tested earlier, i would have gotten a BFP also.
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)
The only 3 things i did differently (and i cant say ANY of these had anything to do w/ BFP but YOU NEVER know) -only BDed 1x which was day of +opk -used Preseed -laid in bed 30 mins after BDing w/ pillows under my butt -ETA: i realized today, i also used Mucinex that month

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
Honestly, September was the first month since we started TTC in April that I did not track, chart, temp, POA OPK stick, etc. There was so much going on with my job and then we were on vacation and then I was away in Chicago. I had NO idea when I ovulated - we just decided to enjoy each other. I realized a few days ago that I was late and decided to take a HPT just in case. It came up positive with a late afternoon pee. I took another one last night and it came up even brighter than the first one.
The only symptoms I had were that my breasts were sore. Other than that I just felt like my period was going to start.
I'm no help - sorry!!

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
1. What method did you use to TTC? just a calender, no stress involved
2. What was your BD schedule? when the time said to which i think was 1 or 2 days before o.
3. At how many dpo did you test? not sure like 3 days before AF
4. Anything else that might have contributed?nothing i dont think stress helps therfore we just went at it and it happened first try for both preg.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
Well, to start, I got my BFP on Wednesday, October 1st 2008.
Some info on me: Dave & I had been trying for 6 months and had just started seeing an RE (due to a short LP and my age 33 ½). We came up with a ‘plan’ that was going to be kicked off on CD1 – but that day never came.
During the month of September, because I knew the RE appointment was coming, I didn’t temp or use OPK’s. We were seeing the RE right before ovulation was due, and I was told to expect a sonogram, so I knew they’d be able to tell me if I had ovulated or was going to, etc. At the time, I forgot to ask, but they said they saw follicles…so that’s good I guess. ? I went for cd21 bloodwork and was told my progesterone was low…
Symptoms – cramps…lots and lots of cramps. I didn’t have implantation spotting at all (I have recently described my toilet paper watching as CSI like – holding it up to the light, etc)…so I would’ve noticed the spotting. I did have some slight pangs of pain ‘down there’ at one point – but nothing that would’ve made me think anything other than, wow, that was odd…. I had EWCM in the days leading up to when AF should’ve shown up (but that was NORMAL for me every month) – so I thought nothing of it.
My cycle has been 26 days for 4 months and I got to CD28 before I tested. Some of you may remember, the last 3 months when I had tested, AF came the same day – so I have always been one NOT to test…since I never wanted AF to show. I was going to wait until Friday to test, but in talking to my ‘girls’….i tested Wednesday night.
I got a LIGHT line on the Dollar Tree test first and then had to go again and used a Walgreens test. Same thing – light line…. I told Dave when he got home from work and told him I’d feel better if I got a positive on a digital in the morning… He said – there are two in the box – do it now…what can it hurt. I told him that it may not come up pregnant now – since I had been drinking soda and etc….
I was wrong – within one minute of dipping my pee (I can’t poas, I pee in a cup) – I got the pregnant word and have since been VERY happy….
I called the RE and went in for bloodwork the next day. My numbers were ‘very good’ and I had to go for more bloodwork on Sunday (which is why I waited to come out on here).
The only symptoms I am currently experiencing are: cramps, breast pain (severe at times – NO POKING needed, they just HURT) and at some times, I’m not hungry at all and other times – I’m ravenous.
What we did this month: no temping, no opk, timed BD’ing based on CM only. I also have always put my legs up after BD’ing…I literally lay on my back with my legs in the air – facing the wall, so that my legs can rest on the wall. Also – I normally sit in the living room with the laptop directly on my lap. This month – for some reason, I decided to put a thick pillow between me and the laptop…who knows if that mattered – but I wanted to add it.
I was told I’m 4 weeks, 3 days along….
A couple questions that might help those of us who are still TTC!
1. What method did you use to TTC? In the months leading to the BFP - i used OPK's and temping. Also charted my CM and all other symptoms.
2. What was your BD schedule? We bd'd three times during my 'o' time. Twice one night and once the next - that's it. I guess we timed it right.
3. At how many dpo did you test? because of not using temps or opk's - i'm not sure. I was 2 days late.
4. Anything else that might have contributed? I have been taking Target prenatals since March. I also kept my legs in the air after BD - every time!

What is this all about? I never heard of that before.......please share
Ok so with DS I got BFP without even really trying the first month off BC. This time around I got BFP ust by using an ovualtion pedictor online and got BFP the 2nd month, unfortunately I had mc weeks 5. I always lay with feet/butt up after sex if we are TTC. Not that I have trouble getting PG, but what are all these things yo are doing. I want to do things that will increase chances
Eating Barilla? Carrots? Robitussin (not that i will cause I HATE liquid med) Baby Asprin? Vitamin C?
What is Preseed

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
First off, congrats to all those with recent BFPs! Wishing you a very happy and healthy 9 months!
A couple questions that might help those of us who are still TTC!
1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.) Used Clear blue digital ovulation predictor
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.) This month was my first time using the clear blue digital I believe the previous two months m schedule was off so this time we did the day after our smiley face then nothing then again
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!) Tested using FRER at 10DPO and got a light line, tested again a 12DPO and got a much darker line
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.) not sure but taking prenatals (Prima care one) and after sex stayed for 15 minutes with my legs up(I don't think this is necessary, but didn't think it could hurt either )
My symptoms were very light...some cramping , very hungry (but thats kind of normal for me)and fatigue but nothing that could stand out as odd. Although sometimes when getting up from my chair at work I would get a kind of sharp pain in my abdomen something like a muscle spasm.
Good luck and lots of to everyone!
