When I was in high school a teacher won 8 million dollars. He split it with his brother. He is still a teacher in the same high school. He had started teaching that year and was really young. He got a red convertible corvette. I was in his class and he treated everyone to pizza the day after he won.

My aunt won 500 on two tickets a day before xmas a few years back. She went and doubled everyones xmas gifts.

My neighbors in CA won twice. First time it was a few million, second time was just under 1 million.
And they would NEVER buy girl scout cookies from me! Cheapos  yup, still holding a grudge 20 years later

yes two people.
First was a girl I worked with.....her parents won 10 Mil in the MassMillions
2nd id my DH's uncle- he won Lotto years ago
I just remembered one more
A guy I went to college with won a million on a scratch off

A student of mine's father won the lottery a few weeks ago. I just got a very nice xmas gift too! 
Other than that, I don't know anyone who won the lottery.
The most I've won is $1500 from a dice game at a bar.

My mom's cousin won 2 million in NH lottery. I think it's gone though.
When I was in college, another student (older man) won and treated us all to lunch at Ruby Tuesday.

About 8 years ago, my BIL won $5K from the lottery twice in 1 week!!! He played religiously though, and not just $1 or $2 like I do.
Most I've ever won is $40 from a scratch-off and $1,000 from a slot machine at Foxwoods.
