Reflux/Feeing Issues/GI specialist??? BTDT advice?

So, DS apparently has reflux, and feeding issues. He will ONLY take a couple ounces like he is STARVING and then burps. After that he WILL NOT take his bottle back at all. He's barely going 3 hours around the clock between feedings. And after he burps and he tries to take the bottle back he gags, spits, cries... WILL NOT TAKE IT. He is 7 weeks old today. Our ped is now sending him to a GI.... AND I AM A NERVOUS WRECK...

So, for BTDT mommies... what does a GI visit for this type of issue usually entail? Any advice? And does going to a GI right now sound extreme????

TIA- I'm very tired, very emotional and just want my DS to be a happy baby.....

No not early at all. DS had already seen an ENT and a GI by that old.

It took some time to get the right combination of formula and meds but what ulimately helped DS was Alimentum Zantac - 3x's a day, Mylanta 3x's a day and time.

Also, we burped DS at EVERY ounce. Anymore than an ounce and he was in crying fits. Feedings took a good hour but it helped him immensely.
