Regular Cycle after coming of BCP
Does anyone have a normal cycle after coming off BCP. Mine were always 28 days cuz i was on BCP. What are the chances of mine being back to 28 days right after coming off?

After BCP I had a 39 day cycle. I did get pregnant after 5 months of trying then when I got AF back it's been 28 - 29 days.

thanks for posting...i was wondering the same thing..i used to have a pretty normal cycle, now i'm on day 30 and no aunt flow, but i have slight cramping today and yesterday. Wish she would come already, before i start thinking maybe i could be PG!!!!!

it doesnt matter how long your cycles were on the pill - its completely irrelevant - the question is how long were your cycles BEFORE the pill? it should be pretty similar after the pill. maybe not int he first month, but it should regulate in time.

my first month was a 39 day cycle too...this is my second month so we'll see...hopefully it goes back to a 28-29 day cycle! not knowing what week i'll O is annoying me but you just gave me some hope

mine were close to 28 days when i was a teen - as far as i could remember...i was on the pill for 8 years straight...got pregnant as soon as i stopped taking it...now just hoping it sticks  
i think if you were regular before going on you have a better chance of being regular when you stop....i also heard you can be mroe fertile when coming off...
i waited until i was 1 day late past 28 days, tested and got a bfp...

On BCP my cycles were 27 days each month. I stopped BCP 8/28 and my Sept AF came 4 days early, then my Oct cycle was 32 days....according to all of that AF should come sometime this week (I'm not TTC yet) so we will see if I am regulated or not.

i was really irregular before BCP and now, once again I am irregular. However, I just found out that I have a medical condition.
Its been 4 months since being off BCP and AF only came once. My first GYN said thats normal, but I didnt think it was so I went to another GYN and she diagnosed me with PCOS this week. You are only on day 30, so I wouldnt worry- you're going to be irregular if you were before. it takes a woman average about 3 months to stabilize after BCP

If it stays 39 days then you're supposed to count 2 weeks backwards from when the next time you're due for AF. Count 39 days from last AF then go 2 weeks back and that's around when you'll O
It worked for me and I got BFP

My cycles were regular right away after stopping. 27/28 day cycle I was only on BCP for 1.5 years in total so Im not sure if that makes a difference since it wasn't really that long of a time to be on the pill.

Yep. ITA. How were your cycles prior to BCP? Mine were pretty reg. mostly 28 days. I went off BCP and 1st month was 24 days, second 26 days...I'd say its pretty regular

Before BCP I was every 28 days exactly. Was on BCP for almost 10 years. Went off in March and my periods were "regular" in the sense that they were coming btw 24-28 days. HOWEVER, I did not feel "normal" until about 6 months after. I had irregular spotting, cramping, shortening of periods etc. I would say I am finally on my 2nd cycle of feeling "normal," especially this cycle. For example, I am pretty certain I ovulated in the last 24 hours. I could just feel my body signals, wheras in the past several months I was very confused. If I could do it over again I def. would have gone off BCP sooner.
