Ring doorbell
Was wondering how happy people are that have it. I have it on backorder for a special price on QVC. I am thinking of cancelling it. We don't have a storm door and I have had a lot of incidents of people coming to wrong house, sales people when I am alone. I thought this would be a good thing to have. Just wanted feedback of others of this device.

Re: Ring doorbell
I don't have it, but I answer the door to nobody so it doesn't matter who rings my bell. If I am not expecting you or you are not a family member or friend, you can ring the bell until the cows come home and I will just ignore it

Re: Ring doorbell
I don't have Ring but another brand of the same thing and love it. We don't have a storm door either so I like being able to see who is at the door.
We have the same system at our vacation home and it is comforting knowing we can see what is going on.
Several of my family and friends have Ring and love it too.

I have done this all along but had an incident where someone would not go away and was walking around my property. I was terrified. This is what prompted me to look into this.

Ugh scary. Yeah I have security cameras around the house, but not the Ring system I can view them on an app on my phone or on the computer in my house

Everytime someone knocks on my door, I look at my phone to watch them from every angle. Then I take snapshots of their faces "just in case"
I really need to clear out some of this pics lol

Ring doorbell
Dh got one bc he likes gadgets. We like it, but could take it or leave it. One thing I like it for is seeing who's at the door without have to stop what I'm doing (like if I'm getting the baby to sleep or something). And I like that it's motion activated so we get an alert on our phones any time any one is anywhere near our front porch. But I feel like that's useless if someone tried to break in thru the back door, which would probably be more likely anyway.

Re: Ring doorbell
DH installs alarms/cameras for a living and he likes it especially over other brands.
We have not gotten one yet but we do have cameras installed outside our house.

Re: Ring doorbell
We don't have any cameras around our house. And I do have an issue with a lot of sales people coming around. Just yesterday someone did. Then weeks back someone would not leave and I was afraid to even go to the window as he looked angry. So I guess this would be a good idea for us to at least try. I hate the feeling of being alone and the doorbell rings and not knowing who it is. It catches me off guard. Just a scary feeling.
