wash all pots and pans by hand and use the dishwasher for all else - but i don't ever run the dishwasher until it is full

I can't wait to own a dishwasher! But right now, I AM the dishwasher. 
I read it as dear wife the first time also.....
Electric DishWashing machine.... 
With 2 DC, we run it pretty much every night. Sometimes 2x a day, depending on the meals.

DW for as much as possible..unless it looks like it'll be more than a day or two before I run a load and it's only a couple of dishes..then I handwash...

All plates and cups go right in the dishwasher, along with silverware.
I wash pots and pans by hand and most of DSs plates, bowls, and cups.
We usually run the DW every other day!

Both - I don't put plastic in the dishwasher so I hand wash those and pots/pans.

I read somewhere that the dishwasher is actually MORE efficient than hand washing as long as the dw is full.
I use the dw but pots get washed by hand.

Uses much less water than hand-washing. Less water means less energy to heat the extra water.

I do everything by hand. We have a gorgeous DW that we've used twice since July! lol It runs on a normal cycle for like 1 1/2 hours! Isn't that a long time???

My new dishwasher is a 90 min reg cycle too- that does seem long but that seems to be the norm now...
And to answer the question- I only wash pot and pans.
Everything else- goes RIGHT in the dishwasher.. I also feel it sterilizes the items much better than I would by hand. I am a bit freaky about raw meat and food borne illness, etc

I wash by hand, even though we have a dishwasher in our house.
we are only 2, and could not fill it in one day, and the idea of leaving dirty dishes in the dishwaster disgusts me beyond belief.
to cut down on water sumption, I don't wash with the water running.
I suds up everything, scrub it up good, then run the water just to rinse.
Ditto !! When DH does the dishes he runs the water the whole time.....drives me crazy !  We use our dw when we have company over & use a lot of dishes...so maybe a couple times a month.

Dishwasher, mostly. I love it!!!!!
But a few things can't be dishwashed - the non stick pans, the grill plates, etc or some pots we need to use before the dishes wash again. I usually try to get my hubby to wash those lol

Dishwasher all the way. I don't get people who wash by hand...MIL has 2 dishwashers in her house and she still washes by hand.
