scary situation yesterday..
So yesterday my doorbell rings & it's fed ex so I run to the front door. While I am signing that electronic pad thing, my door slamed shut from a gust of wind. I didn't have my keys or a cell phone & DS was asleep inside I started freaking out & the fed ex guy let me use his cell, thank goodness, to call as many people as I needed to come over with my extra set of keys. He even tried to help me pick my lock! I had to wait 20 min for someone to come by with keys, it felt like hours!! I was so freaked out. I could hear DS start to cry halfway though & when he realized that no one was going to get him, he started screaming.. my heart was breaking.
When I finally got to him, DS was ok but he was shaking from crying so much.
I feel like I should get the fex ex guy something to thank him for being so nice. What do you think is a good thank-you?

That is really scary !
I think just a nice letter to his office superior commending him for what he did would probably make him happy !
ETA- I would probably just "remember" him at the holidays

ITA agree with the letter to his supervisor for going above and beyond to help you.
You could remember him at the holidays, but I feel like that's usually done anyway.
Me personally, I'd get him a gift card as a thank you.
So glad everyone is safe and it all worked out ok for you

What a nice guy! Your baby will never remember so don't worry about him. I would definitely write a glowing letter about him

Re: scary situation yesterday..
Definitely a letter. They keep track of how many packages they deliver in a certain time. If he spent 20 min at your house it might have messed up his numbers for the day. A positive letter in his file would be great to explain why.
Glad someone could come with keys so quickly and that you and DS are ok. I was just saying to DH this weekend that we need to hide a key somewhere outside. I have such a fear of being locked out with one of the kids inside.
