I was so upset hearing this on the news. My prayers are with the family and friends of the police officer.

i am so saddened by this story.. my BIL works with him.. and he is devestated.. 
and like Danirella said.. those crown Vics are not safe.. they are known to go up in flames after impact

I know the kid had a DWI about a month or so ago.........but was is proved yet that he was drunk the night/morning this happened?

Just curious?
I believe it was as they said he was arrested for DWI after the accident.

I agree
And I think it's disgusting the judge set bail at just $75,000 I mean jezz he was JUST arrested last month for DWI and had a conditional license. He shouldn't be allowed bail. Or at least it should have the $1million dollars the prosecutor requested.
I hate to say this. But I see his lawyer's defense being if the officer was in a different car (and not a crown victoria that is known to go on fire after such an impact) there wouldn't have been a fire and he probably could have gotten out.
