Re: September Mommies-to-be Thread
I am hurting in places that I can't even describe, and now in the past week, my back has decided to join in the fun. It hurts to stand. My nursary is no where near done thanks to my A$$ of a contractor who is supposed to be my "friend" I am starting to get overly emotional again and panicked at times. I wish this month would fly by, but it seems like time is practically standing still

Re: September Mommies-to-be Thread
I guess I am technically an August Mom now being that I am having my C/S next Friday 8/29.... 8 days!!
I am feeling okay - soooo much better than my first pregnancy at this point, so I am happy . Nursery carpet came today and we are picking up a bed tonight, so those are two major things I can mentally check-off

Re: September Mommies-to-be Thread
Just got back from the doctor and is measuring quite big. The doctor is concerned about how big he is. I have to schedule my sono so they can get his weight and height.
is definately a meatball. Probably a meatball hero

Don't let that scare you. They told me that with DD also. She was born at 8lbs 10oz, but they made her seem like a giant baby

Re: September Mommies-to-be Thread
I have an induction date of Sept 8th. After hearing what I have on inductions, I am starting to wish to go on my own (but not tooooo early). He is measuring 6 lbs 10 oz which my doc says is great!!!!!!!!! Oh and he has a big head!!!!! My doc says it is too early to have this guarantee a c-section although it makes it more likely; we need to wait and see.
I am really really anxious 24/7. I am soo scared of childbirth and especially scared about the health of my baby. Sometimes I do not know if I can get through it all.
This time next year I want to be on the beach with my DH and my little guy enjoying the summer. We love him sooo much!!!!! I keep that scenario in my head to help get me through.

Re: September Mommies-to-be Thread
I am convinced that all doctors like to worry mothers by telling us our babies are ginormous....
my doc has been calling her sumo baby since 30 weeks....
at my sono a couple of days ago they measured her at 7lbs 13 oz....82nd percentile...not small but certainly not a sumo baby!!!!

Re: September Mommies-to-be Thread
What got me really freaked out that at all my measurements he was measuring big and they would stick in the disclaimer of it could just be the way he's laying, blah blah blah.
Today their was no disclaimer. It was he's big.
I would so love this baby to be 7 lbs and just hiding behind a lot of fluid oh a girl can dream

Re: September Mommies-to-be Thread
The novelty of feeling like my pelvis is pinned in bed and I can't get up to pee is wearing off rather quickly. my ankles are now huge and no amount of water can restore them.
On the flip-side, Scone has to stay put another several weeks. I want Scone to be fully baked!
This Wed was a work shower, and this sat is the shower with my friends and family. Sunday, we'll be taking inventory and adding all of the new stuff into the nursery
Oh, and tonight we just returned from OUR LAST CLASS!!!! (infant CPR) No more long-winded classes eating up our evenings.
so we're almost ready!

Re: September Mommies-to-be Thread
It's September
How are you gals holding up
It's been 9 days since his birth and I feel great. I feel like I could climb mount everest but I know I shouldnt Baby boy is doing wonderful. He sleeps so peacefully, loves to show off his dimples and is just amazing. I cant believe 9 months ago he was just a blob on a screen.
Each day physically I feel better and better since my c-section.
Any day for you gals. Cant wait till we are all together again on the parenting board

Re: September Mommies-to-be Thread
I'm hanging in there BUT I'm SO, SO ready to get this baby out!!! These last few weeks are loooooooong and I'm physically exhausted at this point. I had another growth sono today (because of the GD) and the baby is now measuring 8lbs at 37 weeks so I'm hoping like crazy it's tired of being in there too and gets things going so he/she can make their way out!! Aside from all the aches and pains I'm just SO excited to meet this little person, to know if it's a or a , and to be a mom. I really can't wait!! Hopefully the little butterball will be here sooner than the 25th but if not I am scheduled for an induction on the 24th because they won't let me go past my due date because of the GD.
Hope everyone else is feeling good!!

Re: September Mommies-to-be Thread
awww, congrats again!
I'm bloaty..... I lost my ankles last week! I'm tired and I still have a lot of stuff at work that has to be finished before Scone arrives. (that being said, I must share that after several months of pounding away at developing a new assay, and needing data before I can even START those last few important experiments, I FINALLY got the new assay to work, and got the data I needed So things are finally moving!)
8/23 was my shower... it was lots of fun, but it was also exhausting. So since then, it's been a constant stream of laundry, cleaning, assembling, organizing, buying remaining registry items, returning stuff Hopefully by this weekend, everything should be in order!
tomorrow is my growth sono we get to see Scone in his 'scone' state (he'll be promoted to 'mini loaf' status when he is born) one last time..... Thurs is my first internal....
I hope I can finish all the organizing and work before Scone makes his appearance. I'm due 9/28, and so far no early labor signs, so there's a chance I'll be able to get everything done!
Can't wait to meet our miniloaf!

Re: September Mommies-to-be Thread
Oh geez...I am SO done. No sleep, lower back pain, sharp sciatic pains, and this PG I finally swelled in my hands that I had to take my wedding band off . I think my feet are swollen too, but my BP is fine.
Oh and I love it when I pee myself when I sneeze....
We are so not ready for this on SO many levels
