Shelf life of lipstick?
Whats the average shelf life of lipstick? Do you throw it away after a certain time even if there is a substantial amount left? or do you keep using it until its completely gone, even if it takes 3-5 yrs? Do lip glosses hold better or worse?
I'm going through my makeup and realize I have 20 tubes of lipstick, all great colors and dont know if i should toss them?

There's a little symbol that looks like a jar on most cosmetic products that says 6M, 12M, 24M that stands for how many months it is good for.
If you don't see it, lipsticks are usually 24M

I never noticed that!! Wow, thanks for the tip! I will check the tubes again tonight..

Yea! It's super handy to look for, especially for things like foundation, that you don't use too much of at a time!
