Re: Shopping carts....
I usually bring them back or leave them in those places where you're suppose to leave them. Of course there are sometimes circumstances that I just cant....(usually child related)

Depends if I am alone or if the kids are in the car already
Same here - if I am alone I always bring it back but if I have DD then I am certainly not going to leave her alone in the car for a cart - people can give me all kinds of looks I do not care.
Also, even though I walked to the cart with her, I usually put her in the car first while I load uo the car - especially if its cold.
It is amazing how everything changes after kids !

Re: Shopping carts....
I always bring them back
my car has a lovely mark on the door from some careless person who let the cart go at target in westbury
and I hate driving around looking for a spot- find one- go to pull in and almost hit a cart
I understand people have kids- and I don't - the stores could do a better job cleaning them up - but don't just leave them

Re: Shopping carts....
I either put it back in the cart row or if I'm not close I shove it so it flies into a snow bank or something!

Re: Shopping carts....
Put it back or maybe in a spot that is at least out of the way. I also will no longer park my car near the front of the store where the carts are usually scattered all over the lot. A few weeks ago I come out and someone smashed(probably backing up) a cart into the side of my car- hard enough that the cart was in 2 pieces and a big dent to my car.

Re: Shopping carts....
If I'm with DD and the cart "holder" is not near my spot I will at least put it on a curb or a sidewalk depending on where I am shopping so that it can't hit into other people's cars. When I'm by myself I always bring it back to where it belongs.

Re: Shopping carts....
I usually bring them back unless the weather is extremely bad (ie pouring, snowing, or absolutely freezing). I bring them back because I would not want someone's cart scratching my car.
