should I change my DS formula opinions please!
To give some background my DS is almost 5 months old. When he was about 6 weeks we switched to from Emfamil lipid to Emfamil Gentlease due to constipation and gas. There was a major improvement almost immediately.
DS still has some gas but is not in any pain. DS started daycare about a month ago. They keep mentioning they think he needs a different formula due to his gassiness and that he is sometimes fussiness right after he eats. He is not spitting up and is eating 8oz bottles.. ( Idont really notice this when he is at home).
I am kind of at a loss as to what to do. I was thinking of moving him to good start to see he fares better but am nervous.. WWYD?

I would be wary to take advice from the daycare since you have never noticed it yourself. Why not call the ped?

I wouldn't change anything if he doesn't seem to be in any pain and is drinking so much...
ETA - I have heard great things though about Good Start Gentle Plus. We had formula issues with DS and numerous FB friends recommended it (gas and lactose intolerance).

thanks! my mommy intuition says to keep him on the gentlease. What DC dose not have ANY gas?? But on the other hand maybe he would do better on the Good Start Gentle

You know what- all babies are fussy and have some gas. Your daycare really shouldn't be making recommendations like that - they are not Drs Plus sometimes switching formula - no matter what you are switching to- can cause a lot of upset in their digestive track. I'd stay on the formula if you think it's working fine. If not, talk to your ped and see what they think

leave it be. Go with your mommy intuition. All babies are gassy and fussy, and spit up on occasions. You know better than the daycare providers.
