Formula Change
hey ladies... I was wondering if this was a matter of concern that I should even bother calling my Ped tomorrow....
My DS is a bit over 3 weeks old... he was orignally drinking Similac regular formula that was pre-made. I was seeing how pricey that was getting, and changed to the same regular mix, but as powder... I even went out and got that Dr. Browns pitcher to mix it properly. I have been giving it to DS now for just about 2 days... and he has been having some ... actually alot more poop then usual. Do you think that this could just be timing...? My ped already did say that his poop schedule will change quite often in the begining... but it just seems that since he's been on the powder, hes been going alot more then usual. He drinks it right up just as usual.... should I just deal with the more expensive pre-mixed...? Isn't it made with the same stuff???

Re: Formula Change
I only use the RTF for the kids so I am no help but I would think that bc the powder is thinner it might cause more gas and maybe more BM for your DS. The ingredients are the same. Good luck.

Re: Formula Change
He is just pooping more? But no discomfort?
I would probably think that it is just the adjustment and it will taper off after a while

Re: Formula Change
I agree with all these lovely ladies. More BM's is better than not enough BM's and if he is not uncomfortable, its fine. I've used both with DD and my ped said its fine to do use either.
