SIDING ? Anyone have a "different" color siding ?? PLEASE SHARE !
We're deciding what color siding, and although we've wanted a CLAY color for a while, Im tossing around the idea of BLUE siding  
not sure if I will regret it down the road. but im a huge COLOR person.
thoughts, photos ??  thanks!

Im not so much into what is "in" or not  Im actually into what noone else is doing 
but I get terribly bored of bland things - white/beige/grey families  
i love love love colors. Id live in a rainbow world if i could.
so im trying to convince my husband to consider the blue..
our house has an extension, so it's A LOT to look at (from the side ange), so im wondering if "too much blue"

well, thats the only color blue siding i have seen - more of a navy color. with white trim it looks amazing!!
i wouldnt pick something too crazy, id worry about how it would effect me selling my house - unless you plan to be there longer than the siding!

that blue looks a bit more green than I was thinking.
yes, I think the color on the sample piece is navy something..
and we already have all new windows with white trim.

If you have brick and your putting a lighter blue siding it tends to make the house look pink. Be careful what color you mix if you have brick.

we have yellow siding with brick but when time comes to reside I definitly want blue....more like a colonial blue

There is a really nice blue house on green lane in levittown.....I dont know the address but it is right off sunrise lane.....On a corner of another block....Cant think of the name....It is a deep blue.....

When we reside our house, we plan on doing it in that blue cedar impressions color with white shutters and a black roof. No one has it in my neighborhood, and I am like you -- I like to be different.

I love the blue and green also...but of course just chose a neutral maple cream color. I was afraid it would look dated one day if I used blue or green siding..but I do love the blue and green!
ITA!! Last year when I did my siding, I briefly considered the green but, came to the same conclusion as you.

I would only side with a bolder "color" of the siding resembled cedar shakes or something similar. Not with just plain run vinyl siding.

We just did our siding and it was a choice between clay and that green mossy color that is gaining popularity. I too am a color person and naturally kept gravitating towards the green but my gut kept me questioning it which was the sign for me to go more neutral. I did clay with black board & batten shutters and I love it. Honestly Im not sure what kept me from the green since I admire it often on other houses but I had to go with the gut. If you love the blue and you aren't fighting against a little voice questioning it, then I say go for it. The house across the street from me is blue but believe me, you do not want to use this house as a idea of what blue could look like. Theirs is nasty and decrepit.

I know, a timeless look, Ive tossed around that idea, when I actually thought Long island homes were MADE of bricks, and not just brick-face.
MY RE agent told me, MOST are just brick face (im a Queens girls, our brick houses are brick,who knew ? lol)
nothing will EVER measure up to the homes I truly LOVE, in Italy, made of cement, stone and marble...
now THAT's a home. 
even as I child I would say to the construction guys, can you come to America and build me a home ?
our homes are like cardboard boxes to them.  and we pay so much for our cardboard boxes.  (no offense to anyone, someone said this once, and we had a laugh over it..)
sorry, the whole brick thing brings back these thoughts.
we've even thought about painting the bricks. but then I also like the uniform look of all siding top to bottom.. who knows..

I pretty sure I know the house, Julz is talking about, I think its on Indian Head Road (and it is a beautiful blue). If you haven't seen it there is a house on Timberridge (in Country Woods), that's being remodeled. They are using a beautiful green, go take a look.

FM me too because if you are near KP you can also swing by my neighborhood (fort salonga) . there are two homes in the area that were just redone with blue siding/shakes.

Exactly. I am not afraid of color at all, but I tried to think with the mentality "If I am still here in 10-15 years, would I still want green/blue siding or would I be tired of it? Or would others, when I sell my home, be less attracted to a blue or green house?"
And that was why I went with a neutral maple color, with black shutters. Looks so classic.
A few people near me sided their homes with that green siding and cream trim combo, with black shutters. I do love that but...one of the houses the cream color is a bit off, too yellow and it actually turns me off. Starts to look very dated, so I am glad with my choice.

This is the outside of my house. It's a light yellow.
At first I wanted gray but now I love this color. The house across the street from me is a putty color and it's really nice.

I LOVE blue.. but I don't think we will get it since it is a dated color. It may be in now but down the road if we want to sell our house it may be 'out'.. right now we have yellow siding which we need to replace. I like the yellow, my DH not so much but mayve I'll convince him to stay yellow. DH wants a tan color...boring
