This is the outside of my house. It's a light yellow.

At first I wanted gray but now I love this color. The house across the street from me is a putty color and it's really nice.
My house is a little bit more on the yellow side than yours. Maybe my DH will like this yellow better

While I agree with everyone on the resale value being a big factor, sometimes I just want to say "who cares"  
although my hubby and a few family members would side with you guys
also (without sounding bratty) my house has a few selling features that would sell it instantly.
and we really dont plan to move anytime soon. we bought this home knowing/planning we'd grow into it and raise a family here.
come on guys, help me win the siding decision

I like this blue with the cream trim the best. I do think this looks gorgeous. But so many other features of the house are what make the blue work...the rooflines, the architechtural roof, the windows, the brick. It all works so well. Other houses without enough architechtural detai may make this blue look dated IMO.
So if you are going to go for blue, I would say make sure your house has enough other features to support the bold color. Again that is JMO.

Our house is blue now, but we are re-siding it this year. But when we do, we may go with a gray-blue with white trim and maybe merlot door ad shutters. DH likes the clay and tan colors more than I do - I agree, I like to see different color houses. And, we are living here forever and the house is already blue (in a sea of tan!)
If I lived on the shore, this is what I would LOVE to do (this is the yacht/beach clubs in disney).
I like that pacific blue one above too!
I say, go for it!

We have a cream colored yellow siding on our house - we didn't pick it, it was there when we bought it. If it were up to me I would totally do the whole dark / nautical blue, moss green etc...love that look!

Where do you live? There is a blue sided house in Kings Park that I love. You should drive by if you live in the area. FM me and I'll tell you where!
i think i know the house you're talking about. it has a red door right? it looks really cute! it stands out on the street.
