Small wedding help?
Hi everyone,
My FH and I are looking to have a small wedding (100 guests or less). I'm 5 months pregnant and don't want to have a huge grand wedding, we want to get married fairly quickly, and cheaply... Want to get married at the place. Can anyone recommend a place in Suffolk or maybe Nassau that isn't too expensive but nice? Has anyone ever been to just a restaurant? Married there and just dinner?
I'm so torn. We went to east wind and could get something for 15k but with baby on the way and a new house being closed on in the next month, we are strapped.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Re: Small wedding help?
My DD got married at the Snapper Inn. The food was excellent. They invited 60 people and it cost 5000. The gazebo was beautiful. The service was exceptional.

My friend got married at a restaurant in Point Lookout, the Fisherman's Catch. It was really nice and simple.

Would you consider a Knights of Columbus - the Memarie Club in Seaford is very nice and very reasonable.

Re: Small wedding help?
Would you consider having a brunch reception as opposed to a dinner? I went to a brunch wedding at Three Village Inn that was very nice. I'm sure other venues would offer this as well.
You could also do a cocktail party style reception, or a buffet to try to keep the cost down.

Re: Small wedding help?
Another vote for Snapper Inn.
I had my reception there (I got married elsewhere). We did a brunch reception and at the time (2005) it cost us around $35 per person and we had about 85 guests. They have since renovated the room we used (due to damage from Sandy), so I don't know how many people it can accommodate.

Same here, and then we also had a bereavement event on very short notice. (DH's grandfather asked us to have a party after his funeral.) They worked with us on EVERYTHING....ask if Steve is still there and he'll handle it all.

Small wedding help?
My coworker just attended a wedding at the Bonwitt Inn in Commack, and was raving about it. They had around 80 people, and had a 4 hour package that included a salad, appetizer and a sit down dinner for less than 4k

This was in my top 2 of the venues I looked at. Great place!

Small wedding help?
Riviera - they can't even hold more than 150-ish, so 100 and under would be perfect. We had our wedding for $95/plate back in 2011 for August Saturday night, if you do day-time or after the high season it's even less. Our ceremony was there, it was GORGEOUS.... I wouldn't have changed a single thing about the day.
