Snow in the forcast.....with Map!! ( I found the map online!!)
This thread reminded me to find my shovel and ice scraper. Hate snow !!

I love the snow....and I happen to be off this week with my daughter so I'm looking forward to it because we can enjoy it together.
But I feel for all of the people who have to go to work in it....driving in snow and ice is no joke....I'd hate the snow if that was me as well!

Does anyone know when the main part of the snow is supposed to start? some sites are saying afternoon, some are saying tomorrow morning, some are saying after 6. I will go to work if there are a few snow showers, but not if it's super heavy. I dont want to worry about driving with DS in the car.

Snow begins early, but it won't become heavy til about 6.

Yes the winter weather advisory seems to start at 6pm for LI. I think the majority of snow will be Thursday night into Friday.

Last years nightmare in Brookhaven had more to do with the official being on vacation and not leaving anyone in charge than anything else.

If he is going to close roads then he also has to REQUIRE businesses to give people the day off without having to take a vacation/sick day. Businesses don't care if it snows, if you have to work, you have to work. It's putting people in a really bad position.

I think this is the new thing for the LIE. The last storm we had (I think it was the last) the LIE was closed for all of suffolk because of icing.
