So annoyed with my RE's office

I have 2 issues with my RE (RSoNY). Am I just being impatient?

#1: I'm on my 2nd cycle of Clomid/IUI to try for #2. Last cycle I had two good-sized follicles (21 and 18) on a Monday. They told me to come back Tuesday for blood. I did, they told me I was surging, and I had my IUI on Wednesday. That night - 12 hours later - I had TERRIBLE ovulation pains. So I think I ovulated way too late for the IUI. I was pizzed - should I have gotten a trigger shot on Monday so they could have timed the IUI better? I feel like the natural surge gives you such a huge window for ovulation, when washed sperm for an IUI only lasts 6-12 hours.

#2: So, this cycle - I took clomid CD 3-7. Been going in for monitoring, most recently yesterday on CD 15. They say nothing's growing, even though I have gobs of EWCM and really intense cramps. I asked them what I should do next, they told me that they'd wait for my blood test results and call me the next day. I got a message today: "Keep taking your Clomid and come in for blood and a sono next Monday". WHAT? I finished my Clomid over a week ago. And next Monday is a full 6 days after my last sono. 3 years ago, they told me I had nothing growing, I went in 3 days later and I had a 21 mm follie that they hadn't been able to see, had an IUI, and conceived DD. Why should I wait 6 days for another sono? And why do they think I'm currently taking Clomid? I'm so annoyed. Half the time, the RE doesn't call me at all with test results (happened twice and I couldn't take meds the day I was supposed to start them), and now this - when she does call, I have no idea what she's talking about.

Sorry for the vent. It's just, after almost a year of this and 2 m/c's, I'm so ready to be pregnant already.

Oh man. I'm so sorry! I would be annoyed too. Did you ask why they wanted to wait 6 days? Do you go to the Mineola office? Perhaps discuss your concerns directly with your RE or call the office manager?

I'm so sorry. Would be annoyed too. Why do they want you to come in 6 days later? That's a big jump and a lot can happen over 6 days. Def reach out to your re and say everything you just said here. I would want to go in sooner and you're not even talking the clomid anymore.

It's probably an error. But this whole process is so all-consuming for me; it takes up so much of my time and my thoughts and my body, that it makes me feel like crap when my RE's office doesn't take the time to look at my chart for more than 10 seconds before they call me.

All I have to say is I hope you BD on your own and check with OPKs. I never had issues with them monitoring my IUIs but I have gotten my chart mixed up with another patient before.

This is why I left that practice. I felt overlooked and they missed a lot of things. Call and ask to talk to dr direct and be firm. Remember you are in charge of your body not them.

I also left because they got my chart mixed up with someone else. I have a rather uncommon last name.They made me come in for IUI when I didn't ovulate, and they wouldn't consider IVF until I did three natural, the Clomid, and three injectable cycles. Sooo cookie cutter.

I feel for you Summer ! Selvi (sp?) is ignoring my messages currently so I can relate to the frustration at that office.

It sounds like they mixed your records up with someone elses. I know the feeling though, sometimes at practices like these you feel like a number. The RE I used to conceive DS was like this. I had to be an advocate for myself, and really push for things.

I'd be furious, especially if it turned out they'd mixed me up with someone else. You deserve better.
