Re: SO Frustrated today
I am exactly where you are Donna.....
Paul seems to have a terrible time with his gas, even with the drops and constant burping. Then when he wants to fall asleep....that too becomes a project--he gets so upset and worked up that he can't fall asleep without one of us holding him and pacing the house.
To me it seems like whenever he's awake, he's fussing. I cannot STAND IT. Add that to sleep deprivation and being the primary source of food for him....I'm plain ol' tuckered out. I'm SO frustrated.
I just wish he'd grow out of it already....or at least sleep longer at night....

Re: SO Frustrated today
well I ran and got dressed, HAD to get out...so I took him to BRU....we did great car ride there, and there as well, minus one mini outbreak requiring a burp.
Got back in the car , said OK, Im gonna go to Starbucks too....MISTAKE...
So as SOON as I got there, he started crying and DIDNT STOP. I could barely order anything in drive thru, he was screaming so loud she couldnt hear me...and every red light felt like an hour. I felt trapped in the car.
My mom was home ( lives next door) when I got home and I basically just handed him to her and walked away.
OF COURSE HES calm as can be now for her
I just feel a little like a failure or a bad mom, like I am doing something wrong? AND I feel like hes gonna hurt his throat screaming so hard.
I thought I would be this great mom but this new crying stuff, it is making me feel awful and depressed and not too sane.
Thanks for letting me vent. Im so happy I have you guys.
p.s hairdryer worked for like 1 minute. I dont have a bjorn..NEED ONE!

Re: SO Frustrated today
You are not a failure and are doing a great job. Babies cry. We have to do what we can to keep our sanity. Have you read the book "Happiest Baby on the Block" - I know a bunch of girls on here recommend it. I haven't even gotten through the first chapter yet but every night I try to get a few more pages in (but honestly, between sleeping or reading - I chose sleep right now lol)
We are all here for you!!!

Re: SO Frustrated today
I very much felt the same way with DD when she had colic. But really there is no rhyme or reason as to why the baby will stop crying with one person over another. My husband and I used to pass her back and forth like a hot potato hoping that she'd eventually stop crying. Sometimes she stopped and sometimes she didn't. It's so tough when a baby cries like that. You need to just try to keep your sanity and use your resources (oh mom, who lives next door, I need you!). Hang in there...it will get better...I promise!!!
