I have the Movie, I love the sound of music.... I also have the soundtrack and i listen to it in my car when i go out.

The last scene as they're leaving Austria is the one that always makes me cry. I used to know every word of this movie by heart.

This is the very best movie ever made! My mom grew up in Austria and made her communion in the church Maria and the Captain get married in! We visited Austria last year and visited many of the places shown in the movie—I even danced around the outisde of the gazebo singing "I am 16, going on 17..." My husband, who still hasn't seen the movie, was looking at me like I was nuts.

OMG - you lived my dream from when I was 5!! I always wanted to go to that gaezbo and jump from bench to bench like in the movie. Me and my sister would pretend to do it on our couches!

I love that movie so much. I have been watching it since I was a little girl. I remember on holiday's sitting around the television with my grandpaent's ,and some of my family from england all of them are gone now so it's sad but it still reminds me of a special time in my life.

Edelweiss... sigh. I always cry when the captain sings it at the talent show and he can't get through it b/c he's too upset knowing he's leaving his home land and fellow Austrians.
