Sorta PR- Cooking and Freezing for when the baby arrives

I was thinking of preparing some dinners and then freezing them so we have them when Chat Icon arrives.

Most likely we will be doing take out a lot and I know my mom will bring us over some things, but I was going to make just a few meals.

Do you think it is too early to start that. I am 36 weeks today.

At 36 weeks I don't think it's too early. I found a website that gave a bunch of ideas for freezing certain foods, I will see if I can find it!

I did this last time and will do again this round. We also had company so it was nice to just take a tray of lasagna or stuffed shells out of the freezer.

I started this around 37/38 weeks, but that's when I started working from home so it was easier for me. So far I made like 100 meatballs, lasagna...

go for it! don't forget to make foods that include iron and calcium too...like chilli and soups with beans. you'll get tired of all that tomato sauce too! make as much as you can fit!

I'll be make a vat of vodka sauce and meat sauce and a tray of lasagna right after Thanksgiving and freezing it. I am 100% sure that MIL will be bringing over food though.

I'll probably make some shepherds pie, chicken pot pie and pot roast to freeze in a few weeks.

It's not as though I make a lot of dinners in the summer anyway - DH usually grills. And we usually get Italian take-out more often than I make it.
