South Nassau Hospital? Oceanside
I read on here once that it was all private rooms. Anyone know if that is still true??

Crashing...my girlfriend just delievered there a few weeks ago, and I believe her room was private. She was the only one in there and I don't think there was enough room for a second bed.
She had a great experience there.

Yup all the rooms are private! I delivered DD there in September and had a fantastic experience. I also had DS there last year and had a good experience then as well! Happy pregnancy!

I'm delivering there and all the rooms are private. All of my cousins delivered their kids there and were happy with their experience.

Re: South Nassau Hospital? Oceanside
I just came home from there on Oct 28th. It was great. Private rooms for labor and delivery and maternity. Once you deliver you have some time in the room before you are moved to the maternity section. The rooms were spacious. I lucked out and ended up in L & D room 1. It has a couch in it for hubby. And there is a tub in the bathroom. I am pretty sure it is the only room in L and D with that set-up. And they are very strict with how many people can be in the room. 2 people maximum the whole time and no switching out. No guests allowed either. I have friends who work at the hospital who had a hard time getting in there. Aside from that, my stay was great....
