Spin Off to Postpartum Weight Loss-WW & BF
I am 4 1/2 months pp-I have these last 15lbs that I just can't loose! Gained almost 50lbs during my pregnancy; 35 was lost within the first month. But these last 15lbs are so hard to loose!
I Exclusively Breastfeed so I'm paranoid about any dieting affecting my supply. I'm curious to hear how successful BF Mom's have been with WW and not seeing a decline in their supply!
Thanks!

I did WW briefly while I was Bfing DD. I did lose weight because I was more conscious of what I was eating, but I dont know if it is the greatest idea only because they give you so many points because you are BFing. I think I had like close to 40 points. Some days I couldnt even reach that many. I loved WW but probably wouldnt do it again while BFing. It didnt really affect my supply though.

I love WW, and it didn't affect my supply. They give you a ton of extra points, as PP mentioned. But, 15 lbs is pretty good for 4.5 months! I kept an extra 5 for at least 1 year, lost it when I finally weaned baby.

My DD is 6 1/2 months old and EBF (well, we just started solids!). I started WW when she was 7 weeks old and have lost just under 30 lbs since then. It did not affect my supply at all, and I have steadily lost 1-2 lbs per week.
ETA: This whole "dieting" while BF thing really throws me - SO many people talk about this being a problem. WW isn't necessarily a diet - it's not like you're only eating lettuce and rice cakes all day - they give you 40 points per day! It's a LOT - it really takes into account how much a BF mom needs to be eating. Just be smart about it, and you won't be denying your body anything it needs.
