Spin off-to when you brought DC home
When you were leaving the hospital did you walk out on your own or were you wheeled out and what hospital.
I walked out and to be honest I was a little surprised.

That's what I thought too. I thought it was common practice that you HAD to be wheeled out. Honestly I was thankful after the c-section I didn't want to have to sit and then try to get up but I did think it was weird.

I had my DS at NY Methodist and I walked out. I was also surprised.

I Walked. We were waiting for a chair, which seemed like forever. The nurse asked me 'How do you feel, do want to walk or wait?"..I never replied "Walk" so quick..LOL ...I couldn't wait to get home.

wheeled out of Stonybrook. But I have to say that I thought it was weird that they put DD in her carseat on my lap and I had to hold her. I was SO nervous I would drop the carseat and she would fall and hit the ground

I was wheeled out with my DD on my lap. They told me that I could leave the car seat in the car.

I had my 1st baby and 3rd baby at a AF base hospital and I was told if I couldn't walk out on my own then I couldn't leave. So I walked.
With my second baby I had her at a regular hospital and they told me I HAD to leave in a wheelchair.

Wheeled out of Winthrop. I also had a c-section so I am glad they did. Walking was still hard at that time.
