DW loves me too much to drag me along for grocery shopping...

She's a SAHM, so she goes during the day. Much less people, so it's more efficient for her anyway.

usually we go together. he loves to push the cart, and also sneak in random items.

I love going food shopping with my husband! Unfortunately, we hardly ever get to go together. He usually goes during the week himself. Sometimes we go together on the weekends.

no, i used to but he is so far up my a$$ rushing me along that I can't concentrate.

Now I go during the week with DD - it gives me somethign to do.

I go alone. I usually go when DH isn't home. Also, whenever he goes with me, he buys way too much junk that we don't need!

i usually go saturday mornings and I try to go by myself. Dh makes me spend more money when he comes with me

DH and I used to go together. I used to look forward to our "ritual" every week... until he didn't go with me a few times b/c he was tired/sick/or whatever.

Once I saw how much less money it cost us when he was not there, I started going straight from work, so he COULDN'T go!

I swear, he's worse than a child. he grabs the most random and expensive imported items and insists that he MUST have them! most of the time, it got thrown out untouched, with mold all over it

Sometimes he comes sometimes he doesn't. I like when he comes bc then we can split up and the trip goes faster, but sometimes I prefer to take my time and get everything we need without him nagging me to hurry up so we can leave.

We used to go together every weekend in the early morning.

But then I decided I like to sleep in, and he decided he likes to go at 7am. I used to get up that early and go with him, but not anymore.

the majority of the time i go alone..
and once in a while DH will come with me!

DH does the groceries. He likes to go by himself. Apparently I slow him down.

DH and I always go together. He pushes the cart and carries the bags. I've tried a few times to do it alone and I always forget things because I stink at pushing the cart and reading the list lol. Terrible I know. Besides he is good company.

I don't drive, so DH has to go with me and he is like a child when it comes to grocery shopping, I catch him slipping stuff into the cart all of the time.

I prefer that DH NOT go with me. For a few reasons, when I do my list I organize it according to how the store is laid out but he likes to divide the list and each go get stuff. He always find stuff that he wants to "try" and I end up spending more than planned. Last but not least, it's usually the only time I have to myself on the weekends and as mundane a task as it is I cherish the quiet time.

I am actually WAY more in control of my spending when Rob is with me.

"You don't need that! This one is cheaper! Those are gross. I won't eat that! Put that back!"

But - alas - he HATES grocery shopping and will only do it with me under extreme duress. Even online shopping via peapod is a massive chore for him!

I usually go after work and i go alone. If i decide that i want to go on the weekend, DH usually comes with me.

DH does most of the grocery shopping, sometimes we all go, but usually it is just him.

I'm the one with the impulse buying issue so it's cheaper this way.

We used to go together...now i leave them ALL home..so much easier, Dh is a bigger PIA in the stores than my toddlers.

I loathe food shopping and it's so much easier to do something I hate doing all alone

No way. If he comes with me, it costs a fortune b/c he wants everything he sees. "ooooooohhhhh look at all the CHEESE!!!! Ooooooohhhh cannolis! Ooooooooh I LOVE Entenmanns! Can we get sausage? With hero rolls? And i really love pinwheels you know. Oh can we get ribs too?" It's like having a panting dog with me.

We used to go together, when we'd go on the weekends. I also enjoyed our ritual and it was nice having him push the cart for me! But then I started to go on Friday nights so it would leave the weekend free for other things; and I think I also spend less by myself.

normally I go after the gym and its me and my brother dh barely ever has to go to the groceries with me

NEVER!!!

I always wanted to be the NW couple that danced in the aisles. Then I took DH once and he bittched and moaned the entire time. So I booted him.

I love grocery shopping and I don't need anyone bringing me down.

DH never really liked going, though we did often go together before we moved and DS was born.

Now I'm a SAHM and I go with DS during the week. It's quieter and faster to shop, plus DS loves going most of the time. DH hates it and complains, wants to get out of there so fast I wind up forgetting to get half of what we needed, it's not worth it.
