Spinoff to door question:Windows
Do you sleep with windows open in your dc room?
Now that the weather is cooler we have been sleeping w/ our bedroom windows open. DD is still in our room in the pNp, but we are going to put her in the crib this week. I was thinking of leaving one window (farthest from the crib) open a little bit. Our bedrooms are on the second floor of the house.

Re: Spinoff to door question:Windows
The windows in DS's room are closed and locked. Thats where I'm a paranoid mommy.

Re: Spinoff to door question:Windows
I have no problem leaving them open, although I don't a lot because our neighbors can be very noisy. I like for them to get fresh air, and the room is on the second floor of the house. They are also still in cribs.

Re: Spinoff to door question:Windows
I did that in the old house. Not sure what we're doing about this house, but I think as long as it's a safe distance it's perfectly ok. I sleep better with cool, fresh air.
ETA - also for safety we usually just open the top part of the window and the alarm is still on, but not for that window

Re: Spinoff to door question:Windows
I leave it cracked open. If it's too chilly then I close it completely.

Re: Spinoff to door question:Windows
I leave the window farthest away from DS open a little bit. It's on the 2nd floor so I don't worry about anyone scaling the walls to get to his room.
When we are downstairs, I only open the top portion of the windows bc I don't want him to get a draft.

Re: Spinoff to door question:Windows
always a crack, DS sleeps best with some fresh air
we are going to put baby bars on it to keep him from jumping or something when he starts to get more mobile.

Re: Spinoff to door question:Windows
Ds windows are always closed and locked. Our bedrooms are on the 2nd floor, so I am not overly concerned about climbing in. However we keep them close bc of the neighbors dogs. I think there dogs live outside and they seem to bark overnight.

Re: Spinoff to door question:Windows
I keep them closed because I am paranoid about it getting too cold and not being able to close them in the middle of the night since my little guys are light sleepers. I also don't like any possible noises from outside to wake them early in the am.

Re: Spinoff to door question:Windows
Before we put an AC in his window, we left the window open on warmer nights.

Re: Spinoff to door question:Windows
We leave the windows open a crack. DD and DS are both on the second floor and someone would have to be half monkey to get up there.
