Spinoff to Gym Robbery Post, Question

I can't even believe that someone would break into a locker like that, and steal someones valuable items

My question is does everyone take off their rings/watches to workout?

And if you do, what is the reason?

I do. usually because i don't like the way my watch feels on my wrist when i'm all sweaty. It's very sticky like. And I also don't want to ruin my rings or anything. If i am going to the gym from home, i leave all my jewelry at home. If i go straight from work, then i lock it up in my locker.

i Never take my watch off, i go in the pool, hot tub, workout, vacation, it never leaves my wrist.

I'll preface this by saying I have a home gym, but even if I didn't...

I always take off ALL jewelry (including nicer watches) when I work out. It's dangerous otherwise. Rings, earrings, etc. can get caught on something. Not only can they get damaged, you can be hurt by this also. I have to take off my rings because my fingers swell when I work out.

I sometimes wear a running watch (waterproof, etc.) when working out, but that's rare. I don't run outside too much.

I take rings and my watch off, but I keep them with me. I never put them in a locker.

I would either not wear them (which is what I do) or if I forgot and they were on I would workout with them.

I would not be comfortable leaving anything important to me in a locker bc years ago I heard that there were robberies in my gym so I am weary.

I don't work out at a gym but I do go to a yoga class pretty regularly.

I don't wear a watch but I never take my rings off in general.

I leave them on all the time.

I never bring anything with me that I leave in the cubby at yoga that I would be crushed if it were to "walk".

Haven't been to the gym in a while. But I NEVER brought anything of value with me. I always worked out after work though.

NEVER wore jewelry while working out either. It's just uncomfortable to me.

I wear a plain gold wedding band to the gym & no other jewelry or watch. I can't stand working out with jewelry on besides my ring.

I take off my rings. My fingers tend to swell a little when I get hot & sweaty, and it's uncomfortable if I don't take them off.

I left my watch on today

I normally change at home- but today I changed at the gym

left my mom's ring in the car

the watch is hers also- it's not replacable

I wear all my jewelry because its safer on me than in a locker when I go from work.

When I go from home, I leave it all home.

I don't take jewerly with me. I also don't use lockers.

I have a small bag and I take it with me inside the gym for my valuables.

When I used to go to gym from home and go directly to work.

I would take the small bag with me with my valuable and they would remain with me the entire time. Left my clothes in the car. Got my clothes after my workout and then get ready in the locker room.

I trust NOBODY!

My purse got stollen many years ago in a gym. Lesson learned!

I take off my watch, but that's because I use a heartrate monitor. All my other jewelry stays on.

dont wear jewelery when Im working out except my ering and wedding band, those NEVER come off. Havent since the day they went on .

I leave my watch and rings at home when I workout, even when I go walking in my neighborhood. To me there is no reason to wear jewelry while you are working out and I would never leave my valuables in a locker.

i go in my workout clothes and don't wear any jewelry except my earrings. i don't use a locker. i keep my carkeys at my feet or in my jacket or bag that i have next to me.

I am not trying to be mean or stir up drama, but it seems that so many of us take the proper precautions with this......when someone mentioned this same thing yesterday they basically got ripped a new one.

I am not saying that it's right to steal or that I don't feel bad for the OP..........
