Re: Spinoff to Gym Robbery Post, Question
I don't work out with any jewelry on. I leave it at home because I don't have a locker at the gym.
I will sometimes wear my e-ring and wedding band and it is uncomfortable in my hand grips when I work out.

I leave on my watch and rings but, take my watch off if I shower there. It's only a Fossil though.

i personally frequent the gym and make a point not to bring ANYTHING with me that i care about... the only things i bring are my keys and phone, both of which never leave my site....
im actually surprised when i still see people using lockers especially for to keep things that cant be replaced....

Re: Spinoff to Gym Robbery Post, Question
I solved this problem rather easily - I stopped working out!

Re: Spinoff to Gym Robbery Post, Question
I only really ever wear some type of stud earring, a necklace and my wedding band.
If I go to the gym or volleyball/softball, I'll either leave my ring at home or if I forget to leave it I put it on my necklace.
I always leave my necklace and earrings on.
eta: my necklaces are all 'dainty' necklaces - I never wear the trendy/funky/chunky necklaces.

I am not trying to be mean or stir up drama, but it seems that so many of us take the proper precautions with this......when someone mentioned this same thing yesterday they basically got ripped a new one.
I am not saying that it's right to steal or that I don't feel bad for the OP..........
ITA
And I dont wear anything of value with me to the gym, nor do I use their lockers. I have heard of many cases of theft at the gym. I carry my mini gym bag that NEVER leaves my side and that just holds my wallet (if i bring it at all), my keys and my tanning lotion lol (GTL baby)

Re: Spinoff to Gym Robbery Post, Question
I never wear any jewelry to the gym. Just bring my gym bag and wallet. Everything gets locked in a locker.

Yeah - well she was venting and upset that her husband was robbed and then people had to join in and kick 'em while they were down. i.e. Why'd you do that when you knew? You were asking for trouble. Who wears an expensive watch to the gym? So on and so forth.
She was obviously upset and people were pretty much stating the obvious to her. I'm sure her husband went through the same thing. It was just unnecessary and contributed absolutely nothing to her post.

Re: Spinoff to Gym Robbery Post, Question
I take it off at home, but I could understand if you were coming striaght from work having to lock it up. I used to actually lock my bag and cell phone in my trunk because i didn't want to be bothered with the lockers
