Spinoff to Israel/Palestine thread from last week...
Hamas needs to be wiped out for the sake of the women and children who are forced to live there!

How many times does it need to be said that Hamas are hiding weapons in schools, mosques and hospitals!?!
Their own weapons landed on that un school and they blamed idf. They are playing the media and the rest of the world for fools! They are using Palestinians as human shields and pawns in their own game. Hamas is putting children in harms way.
I disagree with Shhh2232 that Hamas and the IDF are one and the same. That being said, you can't dispute that Israel has made some pretty huge mistakes in this conflict. Between the children on the beach and now a 3rd UN shelter/school being targeted it's not hard to understand why Israel may be losing the PR war.

I completely agree with you but you can't take out innocent civilians and tell these people's families "We are doing this to protect you!". There has to be a better way.

Your right I hate that so many innocent people die but the only way is to recognize and respect your neighbors on both sides using children human shields should not be tolerated by anyone should be condemned by every country on this earth!!! All shooting would be stopped if Hamas would stop that I can guarantee!

I do not think they are one and the same (and I apologize if it came off that way) but I do feel like both sides are using similar tactics.

Don't you think there would be less deaths of Palestinians if their government would have created bomb shelters instead of the tunnels? And vice versa, if Israel did not have these shelters don't you think there would be more citizen death?

Hamas states it again and again why would they plant bombs on hospitals, schools, ambulances why didn't they take the money they were given and build shelters to protect their children. Because they don't care the more deaths the better PR FOR THEM!

Bunnywife, and others, I appreciate engaging in constructive, rational discussion on the subject. However, I refuse to continue a discussion when even one person involved refuses to acknowledge that Hamas is a terrorist group. Yes, I clearly have a biased opinion on the subject but I am also extremely well educated on the topic and the history of the region and I am a very liberal, left-leaning person. I am not one of those hard-liners who makes vast, sweeping statements about all Arabs or even all Palestinians. I don't hate anyone, and my heart aches over the pain, suffering, and deaths of Palestinian/Gazan civilians and children. I simply don't know what a better course of action in this case would be, as I said before what is Israel to do? If she lays down her weapons she is no longer protecting her citizens.
That said, I am bowing out of the conversation now because I can not and will not continue to argue in circles with someone who very clearly and openly claimed a few pages back that Hamas is not a terrorist group, and compared Hamas to Nelson Mandela.

It is not my intent to upset or offend you. I realize that you are well educated on the topic and commend you on your tone with this most recent thread. It is a fact, that Nelson Mandela was pegged a terrorist and it is a fact that he felt Palestine should be freed, so my referencing such really should not be considered so outlandish

The issue is w Hamas and their leadership and other terror groups, not w the Palestinians. It is important that you understand that.

I consider my comprehension of this entire conflict fairly new. I just want to say THANK YOU for your contribution to these threads!
