Spinoff to "Money a deciding factor to having another child"
I'm curious for those who feel that money is not a deciding factor, do you pay for childcare?

I am a SAHM, so no, do not pay for childcare. We knew how many children we wanted before we got married, money, home-size, none of those things played a role. Just what we both wanted our family to be.

No I dont, because I'm a SAHM but if I had to work , and needed Daycare, then yes Money would be MUCH more of a concern then it is.

I didn't answer on the other thread but my answer over there is more of the timing. We're about to have 2 under 2 and with daycare and LIRR, it'll cost us about $33K/yr. I might want a third but someone will need to graduate from daycare for that to happen.

No..I'm a SAHM...if I worked, it would just be to pay for childcare, so I might as well stay home...I always wanted to be a SAHM anyway.

I said money wasn't a deciding factor for us to go from 2 to 3 kids but it would be a factor going from that to the 5 or 6 kids range.
We do pay for child care.

We don't pay for childcare yet. But this is the major factor why we are holding off on having another one.
I only leave my DS with them 2-3 days per week but my SIL also leaves her twins there.
We need to remember that our parents are older and even though I am sure they LOVE being with their grandchildren, it's not always fair to have them "strapped down" to the babies all the time so to speak.
I am fortunate to be able to work from home a few days a week, but it is hard to get anything accomplished when the baby is awake. Sometimes I have to dodge phonecalls because he's screaming.
It will only get harder trying to get work done with 2 here. My friend is in that situation and has decided to put her one son in daycare F/T because she gets nothing accomplished when they are both home.
