I think so, I would try- I saw something similar at x (and name a comparable store) and they wanted about $300 less- and see what they say. sometimes there are hidden rebates and things that they can work with

R&F will beat the lowest price you find.

I know from experience that they are pretty set on their numbers BUT if you are getting anything else for your home you can definitely get yourself a discount on that other piece. (We did this but had to really work on the Manager first.) Have you or someone you know bought anything there recently? Because they always send you great coupons right after you buy something. It's so annoying! But maybe you can use someone else's coupon. Also they sometimes have very good promotions for 0% financing for several months and stuff like that. So ask.

Re: spinoff to my BR furniture post - Can you negotiate with the big stores
I was able to negotiate with R & F on a chair I was purchasing. I asked to salesperson if that was the best price they could do and they asked how much I wanted to pay and they gave it to me for that price. It was a $700 chair and I said $500, I wish I said even less bc I was very surprised they gave it to me but I had gone back to the store after looking there a few days before and told them so. They wanted me to open a R&F charge account in order to give me that price which was fine with me since I was going to pay in full when I walked in anyway so I just paid for it when the bill came in. It is worth a shot - I am not a super negotiator either, I just threw that question out about it being the best price and it worked out. ETA: I would have a price or % off already in my head in case you ask and get a similar response where they ask you what you wanted to pay.
