spinoff to my own post: Do I wake her to give her tylenol or motrin
We gave her tylenol last at 5...right before bed at around 630 her temp was down to around 101.4 Do I wake her at 9 to give her another dose of tylenol or motrin???? WWYD?

I'd stick to giving her whatever you started with. There is some new research that suggests alternating tylenol and motrin can be harmful for babies under 1.
my vote is for Tylenol!

yep, i would give her another dose of medicine... i have always done this with DS, unless his head feels TOTALLY cool and not-feverish at all.

My DS gets high fevers so I check him often during the night. Fevers tend to spike at night around dinner time and than start to lower around 3-4 am. I would probably give another dose during the night if his fever was above 102.

I just went through this a few days ago. If she still feels hot I would wake her to give her the Tylenol again. Hope she feels better!!

To keep fevers down, you have to be on top of the doses of medicine. I would wake her to give her the medication. Skipping a dose could cause a fever to go higher...Hope she feels better soon...

ITA...my DD tends to run high fevers...one time she went down for bed and i didnt wake her for the dose bc her fever hadnt been that high to begin with.
Well sure enough, 5 hours after her dose of tylenol, she woke up screaming...burning up, and had 104.6 fever
I also dealt with roseola 2 months ago.
So yes I now wake for meds BUT i give motrin for her last dose so that it lasts for the night
