Spinoff to organic foods: Organic at Home & Daycare Food
If your DC eats organic food at home but goes to daycare where meals are provided, what do you do? Send in food from home every day? Let DC eat the daycare food? A little of both? Does your daycare offer organic foods?

Re: Spinoff to organic foods: Organic at Home & Daycare Food
My DD is just 8 months old and goes to daycare during the school year. We started food at 6 months so she didnt eat food at daycare yet. My plan is to send her with her own food. I would just prefer to know what she is eating rather than wondering. I wouldn't have a problem with soemthing like pretzels or goldfish.

DS has a friend in his class who eats organic at home.
Until they turned 2, she would send in everything from home but, would allow her to have the regular snacks the other kids were having.
Now, she just sends in fruits and veggies each day and an organic substitute for meatball and chicken nugget day.

Up to age 2 I was allowed to send my own food. Now it's not allowed after age 2 so he eats the food they have. I am allowed to bring organic milk for him. It sucks but nothing I can do about it while he's there.
