I voted "Can't stand him -- I am anxiously anticipating his end of term" but even that doesn't cover the depth of my disgust & hatred for him.

Can you explain the "Meth House" comment?

surely, it was a fact that drugs were being done in the superdome and crystal meth was one of them. Hence why some folks now are suffering the aftereffects.
check out nola.com for more information. But my point was no US citzen, no human, deserve to be treated the way our government treated those folks

Umm, what the hell does that have to do with president Bush? The friggin people brought the drugs in.

Couldn't agree more. He's messed up our country so bad. The Iraq war bothers me, but not as bad as those poor folks were treated in New Orleans. I want to dump his body on a roof top surrounded by toxic water with no electricity, running water, heat, food, water and see how long he could last. Oh, but then maybe I'd also dump him in the Superdome (ie meth house that it was) and make him suffer. I don't care how at fault the mayor & the governor were, the pres has the final say. Hello, Jeb gets help to FL faster. It was disgusting. I've never seen US citzens treated so bad in my life!!!!!!!!

OMG....you have GOT to be kidding

i do not deny wrong discission making by the president but

THE MAYOR AND GOVENOR WERE MOST CERTAINLY TO BLAME FOR THAT

I'm not saying its not the persons fault, but it is the pres. fault that folks were left there for over 4 days without adquate supplies, medical, food, water, clothing, etc. Case in point we sent food via helicopters 1 day after the tsunami. It took 3-4 days to send food to New Orleans. It wasn't right or fair and a lot of innocent folks suffered. And then when our government finally began airlifting folks off there rooftops, they would drop them at the suffering Superdome. If they were able to drop humans off then they certainly could have dropped supplies sooner. The highway leading to the Superdome was not flooded fully. I understand that some folks didn't leave because they didn't want to but others had no means of leaving. And then when you see the photos of all those school buses flooded it breaks my heart. Yes, it was wrong what the governor & mayor did, but Bush didn't step in until 2 days after. And the whole situation with FEMA, come on now. Some folks are still living without a FEMA trailer. It took to long for FEMA to get down there to help. This I blame on the president and his council.

And further more, it was a good chunk the faults of the Mayor & Governor, but it took way to long for Bush to step in. I'm sorry, but FEMA issues and his lack of timing is Bush's fault.

I honestly cannot even talk about Katrina, because I am way too opinionated about it.

But as far as the Meth, you made it sound like it was the presidents fault.

just curious, who do you blame then for the late response of FEMA? Who do you blame for the lack of medical care at the Superdome (ie red cross, etc)? Who do you blame for folks still living in others homes while they wait for a FEMA trailer?

FEMA is a national agency and in order for FEMA to step in they have to get the ok from the President, not the local officals.

As far as the TV comment, I've stated several times that some people are to blame, local citzens I mean, for not acting correctly, but there were plenty that did everything they were told that are STILL waiting for a FEMA trailer and its over a year now.

FEMA i believe also does in fact work with state gov officials PRE-disaster...

to avoid things that happened in NO

I think that the STATE officials were seriously neglectful prior to that hurricane hitting...meaning years and MONTHS before a hurricane was ever commig

I do think that STATE OFFICIALS were ALSO neglectful to them when they KNEW that hurricane was about to hit

Do i think that Bush made some seriously terrible decisions after that hurricane hit....YES.

But i cannot nor will i blame him entirely...

I BLAME the STATE for that disaster

Bush appointed Michael Brown to head FEMA, and this person had no experience at all in running an agency like that. He hands out important jobs to friends, which would be one thing if those people were qualified.

His administration also attempted to appoint a veterinarian to head the Office of Women's Health. This vet was an expert in animal husbandry.

Thank you, that was the point I was trying to make with FEMA. At least somebody realizes that falls in Bush's lap.

The veterinarian, oh lordy, see what these voters did to us. Only 2 more years!!

I was in Italy recently and every European we met had a negative comment to say about the Bush administration and the war in Iraq.

It really showed us how Europeans view Americans - it was a little bit scary and very disheartening -
