Re: Split level home owners

We have one in the formal living room - wood burning stove. It needed to be against an exterior wall and we couldn't fit it into the den so we put it there. We LOVE it.

Re: Split level home owners

I have a split. We have a 4 level split with the following layout:

Basement: Finished area, utility room, laundry

Ground Level: Den, Half Bath, Garage Entrance, Yard/Patio Access

Main Floor: Entryway, Formal Living Room, Formal Dining Room, Eat-in Kitchen with Access to Deck

Upstairs: Master Bedroom with Full Bath, Bedroom, Bedroom, Hall Bath

We have a wood burning fireplace in the ground level den. It was there when we bought the house and was a big selling feature for us. The fireplace gives off a lot of heat and we hang out in the den a lot (it's where we have our big tv, comfortable furniture, etc.). We use the fireplace all the time in the November through April months.

Most of the time the fireplaces I see in the splits are in the lower level dens, sometimes in the formal living room.

I live in a split and I do not have a fireplace, we bought an electric fireplace that doubles as a tv stand in our living room.
