Lisa-
Our showers are on the same day!!!
I am also going to do a big BRU shopping shortly after the shower. If no one gets my Pack N Play by the 30th, I am going to BRU with my 15% off coupon and getting it myself! (It expires on the 1st.)
omg?!?!!? this is crazy! wedding date twin, date of conception twin, date of delivery twin, shower twin!! are we related?
Wow, just have to comment that is the craziest thing ever! Either you two are really the same person trying to fool us all or you need to meet up and pick some lotto numbers together ....and then of course share them on this thread!
I know!! It's totally crazy!
I am 30 weeks, cervix is holding steady, starting work on the nursery, and getting bigger every day! I can literally FEEL my belly growing! I can't believe it is mid-October already!

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I can't believe how close we are!!! I have done nothing to the nursery yet. I'm starting to freak out. I have a lot of cleaning to do. All of the furniture is ordered as well as the bedding. I just have to paint in there. I really have no complaints as I feel great. Sleeping is a bit difficult but that is about it. I feel the baby move ALL the time and I love it. I'm going to miss that feeling SO MUCH!!! Hope that everyone continues to feel good. We are almost mommies!!!!

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
32 + weeks! I am getting ready for my baby boy to come.
I had a little scare, I was having contractions, but they were able to stop them and everything is fine now.
I feel good, but at the end of the day I am tired. I have been trying to keep my feet up so swelling will stay down. I havent been able to wear my rings for about 2 weeks. I dont want to force them on.
The nursery is coming along. Everything is done, just waiting for my shower to come so I can load that stuff in there and organize it. I have no idea when my shower is though!
Hope everyone is doing well! We are almost there!

Hi girls!!!! I'm glad that everyone is doing well. is moving and scooting around all the time, occasionally she'll stretch and I can feel a round head poking out the side of my belly. It truly is the most amazing experience. My shower is 10/26 ( I just found out yesterday, I wanted to know about a week or so beforehand so that I can have an outift ready!) and I'm so excited! I have NOT checked the registry, so it will be a surprise. I cannot believe we're already in mid/late October! Hope you all continue to feel great!!!! Can't wait until Christmas Eve!

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
Figured we could use a bump! Any new updates for anyone?
I had my growth sono, which showed a very large baby girl!! 5.8 lbs at 32+ weeks already!
I have to redo my 3 hr gtt to be sure there is no GD going on...and I was also scheduled for my csection, whch means one less week to go for me.
They also had me give a urine sample to be sent out. They usually just check it there. Does anyone know what they are testing for at 32 weeks?
I finally ordered the rest of my furniture. And I believe my shower is this weekend so it's all coming together now. I just can't believe how big baby got since the level 2!!!!
ETA - We also picked our ped and I am very happy with our choice.
All I want to do now is maybe take an infant care class and infant CPR if possible.

I don't really have any new updates. Still having cramps, pain in my lower abs. back & my sciatic nerve is acting up. It hurts to walk or roll over in bed
I'm have 5wk6d left and I would love to go like 2wks early.
I'm not sure about your urine sample being sent out. I give a urine sample every doctors appointment but they test it right there for protein. I did give them a urine sample 4wks ago and they sent that out because I thought I might have a UTI. Did you mention to your doctor that you think you might have a UTI? That's the only thing I can think of.
I don't have a growth sono scheduled although I would love one. Since my last u/s (and my 3D u/s) the techs said that the baby looks BIG. But my doctor says I'm measuring nicely. I don't know who to believe...I hope he's not too big.
Best of luck to all in our final weeks.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I'm now 35 weeks!!! It's getting soooo close. Last weekend I did my registry completion, so we now have everything...I think. FH has been putting together all of her things...bassinet, swing, pack n play, etc. We took our infant CPR class last night and have our hospital tour next Monday. I think we picked our pediatrician. One more appointment, but I think our choice has been made. At 34 weeks DD weighed about 5lbs 6oz.

No talk of a UTI...they just handed it to me me when I got there. And in the bathroom were a bunch of others waiting to be sent out, which I never usually see. Must be a test my drs office does at 32 weeks, b/c it was 32 week sono day (they only do sonos on specific days). Whatever I guess.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
Looks like everyone is doing well That is great to hear!
Things are progressing well, here, I have been really lucky and have had a pretty easy PG, the carpal tunnel is getting worse, but still manageable
I had my 32 week appt. They don't tell me how big the baby is, just that my uterus size is on target. I did ask about internals and she said they won't do one until my due date unless circumstances dictate otherwise (like if I start having contractions), that made me happy!
I bought the coming home outfit last night, I was kinda thinking it would be nice to know the sex, it's hard to find a good neutral outfit! I am still glad we are waiting, I'm looking forward to that moment when we find out All of the little Christmas dresses were out - they are sooooo cute and totally making me hope we have a girl!
We are in the home stretch ladies!!!

Oh funny you say this...my carpal tunnel is so bad I can barely sleep more than a few hrs without waking up in tears due to numb hands. That is the worst part so far. I was thinking of getting a wrist brace to sleep with...it's that annoying. Can you sleep at night?
And glad your uterus is on target. My dr said my uterus was larger than should be about 1 mth ago, but he figured it was from my fibroid. So that's why I had the growth sono at 32+ weeks and sure enough, it's the baby not the fibroid so much.

It does suck doesn't it! I never would have thought to associate carpal tunnel with PG!?! But I figure if it's the worst I have to deal with, than I'm lucky. I only have it badly in one hand, my left is just wrist pain, my left hand is OK.
I wake up a lot at night too - it seems to be worst when I sleep on my right side - my right hand will go completely numb and I get pain in my elbow and shoulder with two 'lines' of pain between my elbow and wrist. I was thinking about the wrist braces too, but haven't bitten the bullet yet. Let me know if you try it and it helps!! It's probably getting to that time where we stop just sucking it up and do something so we can get a good nights sleep before the baby arrives. I had been hoping it would get better but that doesn't seem to be the case, I notice now I have a hard time holding pens, I'm going to have to switch to those big fat ones they give pre-schoolers!
Wow, your baby is a month ahead Maybe that means you won't make it until the end! It would be nice to go early!!!! I'm just hoping to have the baby this year!

Hi ladies! I didn't have a great appointment on Monday, but hopefully my next appointment will be better. I have to go for more bloodwork and they are going to monitor my blood pressure closely. I have a growth sono on the 10th. I'm excited to see .
I got a recommendation for a pediatrician, but I haven't called yet. I also have to leave a deposit at a daycare. We have a few classes coming up over the next month. We're slowly, but surely starting to prepare for 's arrival.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
Hi Ladies,
I am counting down until it's over!!!
At 33 weeks and 3 days...I'm done!
Between docotor appts, my carpel tunnel, constantly running to the bathroom....I can go on..I want it over!
I have to go to the doctors every week, this week twice. Because, my BP has been a lil high. Plus, I had to do a 24 hr urine for the second time. I hate it!
Yesterday I got my growth sono done....everything is looking good, baby is about 5lbs...wow, that seemed big to me. Tech said, he should be 7 1/2 to 8 lbs.
I think I may go early, I just feel that way. If my BP stays high they may induce me (which I really do not want)
How is everyone else??

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I am hanging in there. We are in the middle of packing and moving this Saturday. My DH is doing most of teh work but I am still exhausted. Do the dishes and pack a box and I need a nap! Babies weighed 3-13 and 3-15 at my 31 week appointment which is the 54th and 59th percentile for singletons so they are doing good. BP's good. I have my last appointment with my current Dr this thursday where they'll do a non-stress test to check if i am contracting and baby's HB's are OK. Then I see my new Dr next Thursday. Mvoing right along. If all goes as planned I will meet my sons in 6 weeks

Good luck with the move! I hope it goes smoothly.
We're closing on our house in a few days. We have to start packing soon since there's no way we can leave it until the last minute. The plan is to move when I'm around 35 or 36 weeks. It's definitely not ideal, but it's probably easier than moving with a newborn.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
Hi everybody!
I am 33 weeks tomorrow, and we are having our baby in just 6 weeks!! I'm still hanging in there--my back has gotten just a tiny bit better...I think it's because we finally broke down and bought a Tempur-Pedic. It was the best thing we ever did. I went from sleeping 3-4 interrupted hours of sleep a night to sleeping a full 8 hours, only having to get up once or twice! I'll take it!
We went for the maternity tour last night, and I saw the room where I will be having my c-section. I got really scared, I think it finally hit me that I'm having MAJOR surgery. I just pray that my back gets a little better once she's out, or it's going to be a miserable few days contending between the incision pain and the back pain.
We begin work on the nursery this coming Tuesday. I think once that's done it'll feel a little more real!
Can you BELIEVE we're almost there???? I feel like we just started!!
