Hey Ladies!!
Isn't this so crazy??? We're almost there!!! I kind of freaked out the other night about becoming a Mommy. I can't stop shopping for my little girl either!! I have had a rough time, but as more weeks pass, I feel more confident that all will go well.
I just registered yesterday for our crib and changing table. We're getting it from the AMy Coe line at BRU. I was going to go for a PBK crib, but then realized that for LESS $$, I could have a crib and changing table, so that was that.
I think my shower will be on 11/8 or 11/15. Not 100% sure yet.
I am trying to wrap my head around becoming a Mommy to a little girl. DH is totally ready for Daddy-hood. He's awesome.

Yup, we have our crib and our dresser should be coming in sometime in October. Glider is on the registry, and we're still looking for a good bookcase for the baby's room!
2. Have you had your shower? If not, when?
My NY shower was yesterday and it was SO much fun!!! We had a blast--and here I am, sitting in the airport ready to go back home. My NC shower is 11/22.
3. Are you ready to be a mommy in a few months? :D
YES! I can't wait. I'm so excited to finally be a mommy. I don't think it has fully hit me yet. I feel her moving around, and now I have all these great gifts for her, but I don't think it's 100% real to me yet

Time is really flying by!! We are going for our 3D sono 10/9....our 3 year anniversary!! I just cannot believe how fast it's passing by!!
1. Have you ordered your nursery furniture yet?
Yes, the changer is in the room. IL's were supposed to come drop-off and assemble the crib today, but FIL is sick....and we didn't want him anywhere near!!! The glider and ottoman are also in the room.
2. Have you had your shower? If not, when?
No shower yet....not sure when it will be.
3. Are you ready to be a mommy in a few months? :D
Oh yeah!!! I'm as ready as ever!! I just hope the next few months pass smoothly for all of us!!!

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I will be 27 weeks on Friday. The babies move a lot especially when I am still. At night if I lay on my left Baby A kicks me until I roll to my right, then Baby B kicks me. I don't know how they expect me to sleep! It is so amazing to feel and see them moving and I can't believe I've made it here!!!
I still need a dresser but have both of my cribs. W are only setting up one crib since they will share in the beginning and sleep in a bassinet in my room for the first month or so.
I had my shower in NY since we had to drive and with twins my Dr's did not really want me traveling much after that.
My Dr confirmed last week that they will not let me go past 38 weeks so I will either have a scheduled c-section or induction then. I am READY to be a Mom and can't wait to meet my boys

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
How are all the December mommies doing? I can't believe we're in October already.
I had another doctor's appointment today. Right now is head down although I know that can change. I got a flu shot at the office, which was thermisol-free. I know some people are reluctant to get the shot b/c of the thermisol. I'm taking the 3 hour glucose test in a few days b/c I failed the 1 hour test.
We finally ordered furniture this weekend. We also took the childbirth class, which I thought was pretty good. I plan on signing up for a few more classes. I also need to start touring day care centers. Does anyone else feel like they still have a lot to do before the baby arrives?
Hope everyone is well.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I agree that the time has gone SO quickly. I am really excited for DD to be here.
I will really miss this pregnant belly--I LOVE feeling her move around in there but I'm not sure right now if she will have any siblings. It's been a rough pregnancy, and I don't know if my back will be able to handle any more after this.
So I am trying to enjoy every minute, just in case.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
def. feeling nervous!! so much left to do and the weeks are flying by!
my shower is 11/8 and i cant wait!! i haven't bought anything for the baby as of yet. we are trying to take care of any last remaining debt( babymoon to jamaica) plus there is still so many little things we need before the baby get here.
i think i will go shopping after the shower. im sure there will be a lot of exchanges and returns... from there i can asses what we have and what we need. i rather wait till after the shower to make any baby related purchases.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
Hi Ladies!!
I'm in my 30th week. Don't want this to sound harsh, but I can't wait for it to be over. 10 more weeks unless I'm early... which, I would love to be....of course as long as it's ok for my baby to come out.
Tomorrow, I have a doctors appt...my 3 week appt.
My shower is 10/19....I'm looking forward to it.
We will be mommies soon!!! Can't wait to meet my lil man.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
Approaching 30 weeks this week. Belly is very big, with a total weight gain of 10 lbs so far. No real pg related changes to my body that I can see, wondering if and when they will come.
Finished registering, my shower is early Nov. Many items are bought already!
I have my furniture picked out, but didn't order it yet. I just don't want it to come too early since it's in stock.
We started painting the room, doing pink stripes on a wall or two. So far it came out great...I will post pics as we make more progress. We have to finish painting, we are redoing the inside of the closet with a closet system, putting up a new light fixture, new hardware for window tx, etc. Seeing the room change is making me excited! Feeling much more real!
I ordered my cord blood kit and have that all set up.
I have a list of 4 peds offices to chose from, so I have to start making appts re that.
I did my hospital tour and doing my baptism class next week to get that over with.
I passed my 3 hr diabetes test, glad that's over. Started my appts every two weeks now, wow! Also, next sono is a growth sono at 32 weeks.
So I am finally feeling very on track! How is everyone else doing?

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
29 weeks and CANNOT wait for her to come!!! I have a feeling I'm going to go early, most of the babies in my family were but I'm also soooo impatient that I want her to be here early I'm not having a shower due to religious superstitions..the nursery is getting there, we painted, still have to put up some of the remaining moldings paint those, clean it up and move this ugly love seat out that we had in there....I want it all to be done now!!! Can't I just shake my nose or something The exhaustion is coming back to me though, I was feeling great, and now I'm getting winded pretty easily

Speaking of body pillow...I need to go out and buy one. Better late then never.
I am having a tough time right now. I never thought I'd say this but I'm ready to deliver the baby The Braxton Hicks were bad the other day (I thought they weren't suppose to hurt) and I was getting 4 an hour. My pelvic bone has been hurting for about 3weeks now
Anyway, I have enjoyed the pregnancy up until this point I have a doctors appointment Monday so we'll see what my progession is...
Hope everyone else is helping well.

Mine were painful and I don't know if that's common. I have been having period like cramps this whole week. With BH you can actually see your stomach (and feel) it contract/tighten and then it releases. My were contracting for about 1min every 15mins or so. Very scary...at least I thought.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
Hi ladies! I can't believe I'm 30 weeks. I've been doing pretty well except I've had a lot of swelling this past week. I have a feeling it won't go away until after I deliver. My right ankle and foot are the worst. I try to stay off my feet, but they still swell every day. At night, I keep them propped up and put ice packs on my ankles. Everything looks good in the morning, but then my ankles and feet swell once I'm walking around.
DH and I finally started looking at daycares this week. We have one more appointment next week and then hopefully we'll make our decision. It's kind of depressing already thinking about leaving the baby in someone else's care when I haven't even had the baby yet. I've gotten a good feeling from a few of them though.
I had my "surprise" shower on Sunday. I had a feeling it was going to be last weekend and it didn't help that my dad pulled up to the place and I could see the shower decorations inside. I had a really nice time and everyone was very generous. My mom really went above and beyond. She paid for half of our furniture, hosted the shower, and got the baby a ton of clothes for the wishing well. I don't think I'll need to get much, if anything, in terms of a layette.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I am 30 weeks today! I wa supposed to deliver at 38 weeks but now that I am moving and have to switch Dr's i hope that is still the plan. I felt Baby A's foot last night-I kept touching it and he kept moving it-it was tiny and hard! I feel his little butt all the time too. Baby B I feel body parts too but I'm never sure what I'm feeling. I can't stand or sit for too long. When I get up from sitting my feet feel like they are about to break. I had really bad swelling but that seems to have eased somewhat. Besides for that everything is good-my BP is steady around 110-68 or so and I have gained about 34 lbs. I have a sinus infection right now and am on a Z pack but feeling good otherwise
