Staying in touch with daycare friends
Right now, DD is 21 months and goes to daycare full time. She won't be there in July and August because I will be on vacation.
I was thinking it would be cute to meet up with some of her "friends" during the summer for play dates, but I'm not quite sure how to go about it.
Should I send a little note with our phone number on it? Should I ask for their phone number/email? Is this a weird idea all together? Lol
Any advice would be appreciated!

Not weird at all! I would leave a note with your number in the cubby or give it to the parents in person if you see them. We've done daycare play dates and the kids love it.

Re: Staying in touch with daycare friends
We've been doing this even during the year. - All of the Mom's I have cell #'s for I usually just send a group text like "Hey, going to XYZ park at 10:30 is anyone's around" ........ We've met up for concerts in the park, ice skating, movies etc. - It's usually a better turnout when it's last minute.

Thanks ladies, great ideas. I haven't met any of her classmate's parents and I didn't want to seem like a weirdo asking for numbers. I really like the group text idea, I'll try to get that going.

Yes, and ask them to spread the news to as many other moms from the daycare as possible. That way you can meet more.

I think that is a great idea and I have to tell you that my middle and high schoolers are STILL friends with kids from daycare
