Still early in pg, but had a Q for btdt moms
I plan on returning to work after 12 weeks. But I still want to breast feed at home and pump at work. Is it realistic to think that I will be able to switch the baby from boob to bottle daily?

Yes, it is realistic. The baby will get into the groove of things---although it may nor happen right away. Some babies prefer the bottle, some the boob and some do not care & will take what is offered at the moment. The important thing is that you do not wait too long to introduce the bottle. When I had my first DD, I only BF for the first 2 months and then I expected her to take the bottle---ummm---you can imagine that didn't go down too well. With my second DD, we introduced the bottle after a few days (once my milk came in) and then she was good with both, bottle and boob.

Yes definitely realistic. My DS does it now and he is 3 months. My husband introduced the bottle around 3 weeks.

I've read about a lot of mom on here that do that successfully. Don't let doctors and nurses talk you out of it or discourage you.
From what I've learned nipple confusion doesn't happen with all babies, but the longer you wait to introduce the bottle, the harder it is for the baby to accept it. So there has to be some gentle method to introduce bottle, even when you're just learning to BF.

Yup! Several moms at Mason's daycare when he was in the infant room did that. There's also a new mom in my office that uses one of the extra offices to pump. No issues.

You can definitely do it! I also suggest introducing the bottle early.

Yes. I did with both of my children. At one point I did have to start supplementing but I was able to do it for 8 months exclusively with my first and 5 months with my second.

It can be done! I did this when I went back to work when DD was 8 weeks.
